I have an upgrade planned for September, it'll be perfect timing to be throwing a new rig together me thinks.

This is legit. I knew dynamic weather would be in. I don't understand what they mean about the destruction from Bad Company 2 returning. As far as I'm aware BF3's destruction is superior to anything BC did...??

In BC2 almost the entire map was destructible. You could essentially take a tank, point it in a direction, and drive through everything until you hit the out bounds on the other side. BF3 was superior in terms of detail, but inferior in terms of scale.

I'd agree, in some areas. I think it was more "fun". It was fucking fun to play. It was smooth. The gunplay felt solid, but also worked. The hit detection and netcode were miles better than BF3. No getting shot behind walls, under cover, no "lag shots". It was more fun because it was less frustrating. That's just my opinion though.

Man we played different games. BC2's netcode was awful. You didn't get hit behind walls as much, but think of it from the other guys perspective. He got 5 or 6 hits on you that didn't register. Thats what everyone forgets. Getting shot while in cover isn't all about you, its an exchange between two players positional data and actions. For every person NOT shot behind cover, there is another that is seeing blood poofs but doing no damage, and vice versa.

    Very true.

But I guess I'd rather be frustrated by my shots not registering on someone else, than dying 3 feet behind a solid object. You just feel like you got ripped off. If you shoot someone, see blood, but don't register the hits, you're still alive and have another chance to take them out. When you're dying behind cover, that's it. You're dead.

I was playing Bad Company 2 back in my console days and I rather enjoyed it, played BF3 on it also but I think rather than getting a second copy for PC I may just wait around for BF4 to come out.
