I'd like to be a better pilot, but a big part of my problem is probably my outdated CPU and RAM, but I'm planning to update the hardware this summer.

Most of the time when piloting you're going to be out of the way, and not nearby any massive battles, so unless your hardware is really really bad performance isn't as much of an issue as it is with ground.

Anyway, I guess it looks like there's enough interest here, probably going to try to organize some nng flight school or something sometime soon so that everyone who wants to learn to fly can get started.

I actually really love the flight sim they put in. Flight sims were arguably my first video games.
I play with a joystick with yaw, which eliminates frustration with controls (with the exception that's it's way to sensitive).
All this said, I'm freaking terrible at it anyway. I just took it to mean I'm disorganized and haven't upgraded my scythe enough.

My brother, when he tried it, has a really bad computer and the air killed him the most. Didn't make sense, but it did.

Hai guize, lyk, I haz some really kewl tips for flying. You use your joystick, but you dont use the in game control setup for the joystick. When I have more tyme, I shall do a write-up. DO NOT use the in-game joystick setup, you will only screw over what skills you have as a pilot with your joystick.

Chill, I shall enlighten thee. And it will be epic, says I. And it shall come to pass; future pilots shall prosper and pwn the fuck out of anything mobile. Yisss. Amen. And stuffz.

I'm getting decent at flying my scythe (I got four kills in a row the other day! *beams proudly*) but yah, could always do with some training. I bought a joystick just for flying in this game, but I couldn't get into it. Mouse feels much more precise.
