I have no idea how other people set it up and I'm pretty sure that there are better way to do it, but the way I have it set up works for me.

Since your propeller is spinning either clock wise or counter clock, you will always have that torque which either decreases or increases when you fly slower or faster. Some planes would pitch quite a bit and some planes with a heavy nose will pull you down.
You as a pilot of course want a smooth ride so trimming your plane is very important.

When you have a brand new plane with no upgrades, it will feel a lot more unstable than the one with all the upgrades. This is just my general feeling. I havnt unlocked many planes since 1.37 but the important ones like Ki-84 and Yak-3P that I've been working on, have improved a lot as I got down to Tier 3 upgrades.

So lets get down to basics.
Every plane has its trim controls but not every plane has all 3.
For example US planes have it all and Germans only have one, certain Russian planes have only one as well. This comes down to knowing your plane!!! If you don't know your plane, you're screwed!

Normally you're going to have two sets of trim, one for take off and one for flying and as you fly faster or go for a deep dive, just prior to that you will adjust it.

Here is a tip on setting up your trim:

Go to Controls/Full Aerodynamics (don't forget to save it after you're done with it)

Elevator trim - All planes have it!
Keybinds (I use my keyboard for this because I just don't have enough buttons on my stick) - click on the Elevator Trim Axis and look for "Increase value/Decrease value/Reset". If you don't see it, change your Relative Controls from Yes to No or visa versa.
For take off I set it to 10%, once airborn, I hit reset and adjust it to make my plane stop nosing up or down.
    I use
    Increase -Up Arrow key
    Decrease - Down Arrow key
    Reset - Page Up

So to kind of better understand this, lets say I'm flying a Fw190. On take off I would use 10% up, once in the air, drop it down to 5% and as I'm about to dive, I hit the reset button. If I was to keep it at 5% on a dive while doing 800+KPH, the plane would pull me up a lot sooner than expected.

    Rudder Trim
    Increase - Right Arrow Key
    Decrease - Left Arrow Key
    Reset - Page Down

Not every plane is going to have a rudder trim. The ones that I like to fly, like the Germans or some of the Yaks just don't have it so you counter that torque with your stick. There is no way around it, over time this will grown on you and you will barely notice it.
Most planes will pull you to the left on take off and some planes like the Yaks, Laggs, Tempest and I think Typhoons will pull you to the right. Again, this comes down to knowing your plane.
Example - LA5 FN, for take off I set it to 25% Right and when flying switch it to 10%. The elevator trim also gets reset from 10% to -12%. Most of US planes use about 15% rudder to the right and 10% in flight.

    Ailerons Trim
This is the easy one because not many planes have it. Mostly its for US planes and bombers.

I use my number pad for this so
    Increase - Num 3
    Decrease - Num 1
    Reset - Num 2
If you feel like your plane is still falling on one wing or another after you adjust your elevator and rudder, give 2-3% to either side and see if it gets better. Normally on US planes it works like an autopilot.

I think this will make everyone's lives a lot easier and please, if you have it set up differently, post here. I would love to see as much feed back as I can because this is something that I have set up myself by just trial and error without any outside help.

I use the hatswitch on my joystick:
Left = set trim (takes the stick input of all 3 axis and makes that the trim setting)
    Right = reset trim

    Works fine for me :)

I'm up at 6am every day FML (except for weekends and holidays) but I'm on a lot so feel free to get to know some of the guys and if you're into Sims, we can always squad up and fly together. We'll bring Waffles with us too so you can right away learn what NOT to do :)

It works and its not better or worse. Both ways get the job done.
Now get in the air and start seal clubbing!!!
