    Gents and Lady,

Looking for 6 of you who can record at 60fps 720p for a little pub stomping session. 2 in the chopper, 2 in a tank, and 2 on foot, all working together.

I just want us all to record a couple games (preferably one where we do really well...) and then I'll edit it together from all our perspectives. It will be the tits.

Volunteer below, and if you need help with recording, many around here can show you how.

You're only going to get down converted if you go higher. I'm going for a lower res so it can be more inclusive and we can record at higher quality. Not all of us have a super de doopery gaming rig like you.

Fair enough.... I just couldn't stand playing at 720 before I upgraded.

Recording resolution doesn't have to be the same as the resolution you play at.

Check this vid, let me know if you have any questions. We'll all have to decide on capture settings to make sure the video is consistent between perspectives.

Good post. I actually installed Afterburner and recorded my first ever bf3 clip in 720p 60fps.
but damn, it takes so much hd space. A 1:15 clip took 1.63GB? is that normal? lower the fps to 30 would lower the file size?

Yeah its normal. It comes from the fact that compressing the files takes resources, and that would impact performance (FPS). To combat this, they use only very low overhead compression methods when recording so you have plenty of horsepower left to play.

Once we get people together, we'll start working out a way to compress the clips so we can share/store them. With good compression you could take that 1.63GB file down to couple MB without a serious quality hit.
