In my opinion if you have an NNG tag you have the right to fly with us, furthermore everyone I have met so far sporting an NNG tag can fly with the best of them. Val your improvement from when we were first flying together alone shows your potential.

I also agree with what Winds said our communication is our weakest link at the moment, but that is saying a lot because our pilot’s skill level is unmatched. I think we should consider having a caller in each match. The caller would need to be knowledgeable about game dynamics, planes, have a good grasp of tactics, and most importantly be more concerned with winning rather than grabbing kills. Those of us who tend to get honed in or greedy would be better suited taking orders. (These are just thoughts guys let me know what you think)

Also I would say this would be a “no ego” group it wouldn’t be about the best pilots it would be about the best team. Which is why in my opinion anyone could fly.

Well said , Trux . I am better at understanding the tactics than executing them. I do however have tricks on how to run from the enemy. Glissen, Naceo , Sean and SIth would make good trainers IMHO

I would be willing to help with training also, not in the sense of teaching but more so in being a target so that who ever is giving the training can concentrate on teaching and not worrying as much about having to try and fight back.

Once we get sorted out on how we want to do this, we could put on classrooms to get everyone on the same page. Nothing to elementary, but for some of the guys not comfortable with their aiming we could do a custom game, one guy is the target, one guy is trying to shoot him down, and one guy is spectating. The spectator could instruct the shooter where they are missing and help improve aim. rinse and repeat as necessary. The same system could be used for tactics, just change the teacher to whomever has that as a strength.

I think having a shot caller is a good idea, but more in the sense of true-to-life combat. In an actual battle, you would have a squadron which is comprised of multiple flights which is comprised of two elements. You would need a squadron leader, flight leaders, and element leaders. If these battles are comprised of two or more squads on each team, one person micromanaging will quickly be overwhelmed. Ideally, the squadron leader would have a firm grasp on how the whole battle is going and the general tactics the squadron should use (pointing out which flights should do what). Then the flight leaders would manage the actual engagement with the enemy in a way that follows the general tactics.

To have a truly strong team, we would all need to be comfortable with multiple layers of communication. As well, we would need every member to use a universal code for relaying information and use the same measurement standards.

As for Val and beachy, both of you need to stop selling yourself short. You both pick things up remarkably quickly and have a strong ethic for protecting your squad mates. I see no reason for either of you to not participate when this is for all of NNG.

I think Winds has the right idea. One person can probably manage a 4 plane flight (especially if we're flying 2 plane elements) but beyond that it would quickly become overwhelming.

This is probably the one thing I need the most help with right now. Also with initial engagement and energy management. I would relish a classroom environment to work on these.
