I'm thinking about installing some vinyl tiles in my garage to go over the cement. It's oil and stain proof and just look better all around. Wondering if anyone here has any experience with them? http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...rd=garage flooring&storeId=10051#.UHMYD03A-QE Thanks
I have something similar to those but only between my workbench and the tablesaw. The cushion is nice for standing a long time. I wouldn't want the whole floor done with it because you're going to have to pull them up to clean what's gotten down in between the joints over time - especially if the floor isn't DEAD flat. EDIT: I guess you could seal the joints with a silicone sealer to match. They claim the joints are tight enough to keep things from getting through. I just don't trust that, especially since I do woodworking. It'll take you a weekend to do it with floor prep and drying time but once you're done that's it. It will be attractive, resist oil and whatever you spill, clean off easily and protect the concrete finish layer. If you do it, let me know how it works.
LOL If anyone ever catches me working around the house in dockers and a dress shirt, please shoot me in the head. Twice.
