Hey peeps, I've setup a new minecraft server with a mix of mods I've chosen. It's mostly tech focused with a bent on exploration. Mods include:

Applied Energistics, Big Reactors, Galacticraft, Industrial Craft 2, Mekanism, Modular Force Field Systems, Mystcraft, Open Computers, Railcraft, SGCraft (stargates!), Thermal Expansion, Twilight Forest.

There's about 90 mods in total, so if you like building stuff and exploring, check it out.

    (UPDATED) How to join:

    - Download the Technic Launcher and put it on your desktop: http://www.technicpack.net/download
    - Launch it and login with your minecraft account
    - With the launcher open, go to this URL and click "Install This Modpack" on the right: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/icebalms-modpack.533216/
    - Go to Launcher Options -> Java Settings and make sure Memory is at least 2GB. If all you have is 1GB for an option, go download and install 64bit Java from here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
    - Once in minecraft, click Multiplayer and add "minecraft.icebalm.com" as a server and join it, you're in!

Because it's modded I am not using a whitelist, so if you know anyone who would like to play on the server, bring them along!

This is the link for the current modpack being used, don't install the previous one because that server is "down":

    Oooooh.

I guess Railcraft and Mystcraft has some steampunk mods I could be looking into?

I don't play a lot of modded Minecraft but would like to make my town as much steampunk as much as possible. xP

Mystcraft, as far as I can see, is all about creating new dimensions, and you can customize them depending on what writings you find and stuff. Like you could create a dimension with a purple sky where it's always day and there's lots of copper ore, and the lakes are made of lava or something. Sounded cool so I put it in, heh. I haven't tried using half the mods in there so I dunno about railcraft.

I dunno, I logged on to his server a few times, but he took out all the mods I liked, like opencomputers and stargates... I don't even think there's a way we could get to our outpost anymore.

So Galacticraft crashed the server last night, I've pulled it from the modpack, let me see if I can find something cool to put in it's place.

Shame, but I do think i was related to that one block that someone put in...

Anyway, for those of you who had problems trying to run Minecraft because you're running out of memory:

    https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

^- Download the 64-bit version here. This is only if you're running a 64 bit Processor.

Be careful if you are viewing the main download page from java on Firefox; it's considered a 32-bit browser, which means you'll be downloading the 32-bit version.
