This is from E3 2011 in June, but holy hell I haven't seen it yet! Shit looks sick! Dont be thrown off by how the visuals look in the video (especially when hes zoomed in on his optic) its the crappy video quality.
That looks like its going to be awesome. **EDIT** After watching the second video. The AI looks dumber than a bag of rocks. The the weapon models look meh, and the firing mechanics look like shit. I know its still being worked on, but they have A LOT to work on lol.
The ai is is dumb mode, lol. It's like that for the presentation. But the meat of this game is online play of course. The weapon models are going to be awesome as well. ARMA II had amazing visuals, especially weapon models.
I played ArmaII and it was fucking great. Pros: Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge map. Like, no lie, about 75% larger than BF3 maps Realistic flight controls Extremely authentic and realistic. There's no fucking around in this game Real tactics actually benefit you. Camping is useless You don't get casual gamers and 13 year old kids playing No bullshit flight ceiling or perimeter Cons: Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge map Graphics are nowhere near FB2.0 Voice acting is attrocious Weapon sounds are muffled Never felt closer to experiencing a real war than a few moments I had in that game. I recall one game where I myself and another pilot both had our C130s flying side by side. Once we reached the area of the map where SOMEONE HAD DESIGNATED IT ON THE MAP VIEW, we ordered our troops to drop in. The para'd in and took the zone. It was fucking sick. Frank if you think using a Viper in BF3 is fun, wait until ArmaIII. I'm down for adapting our community to that game when it comes out. I know I'll be buying it.
Don't get my wrong, I will pick it up when it comes out. I know better than to think something that was shown in a demo would be the final product. I too played Arma II. I enjoyed it but didnt play it long. I was big into console gaming when it was big... don't mock me :confused:
