I just came across Age of Wushu, looks like a fun game. They give u free 10hour trial, than they limit you to 1 hour a day, unless you become a paying member. I don't mind paying as long as I like the game and the graphics of this one are simply amazing.
Probably the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game. Combat is kind of cool but does take some getting used to.
Its worth checking out if you like RPGs.

Its a Chinese MMO RPG so it looks like it takes place in China. I still haven't seen anything about the grind since all Asian MMOs usually tend to be very grindy, not sure about the story. I think that I have to rescue my sister or something like that. So far I killed a boar and it dropped a dog meat... lol?

    hahahaa

as I got a little deeper into the game, its gotten a slightly harder to figure things out. they don't really offer much in terms of guides, just some useful tips here and there.
still not much fighting 2-3 hours into the game, I hope it changes. one major concern that I have is the fact that there are no battlegrounds. TERA has already lost a good chunk of their subs by not having BGs upon release, this game may have similar faith.
they did implement some things for PVP like duels and 1 v 1 arenas, don't know about anything else.

age of wushu is just another mass-produced MMO from china or korea. They make them in the dozens every season. Some times they are by a game company that has experience and they try to push it internationally. This is not a game that will fly for a very long time cause westerners get addicted to different things than the chinese/korean population. If you recall Aion Online, they had all of the beautiful graphics and a decent yet basic mmo fighting system and an interesting storyline, but their game was awkward, brutally grindy, linear questing (as in you had pretty much one path to follow, the road), and all of their big sellers (you could fly) fell short of expectations (limit 1 minute and a long ass time to recharge and it was more like gliding and you could only fly in certain areas to farm items or fight 1 mob), which of course endgame and flying was better, but you still had to grind for 50 hours to get to that point. And there was no incentive for players to stick around and help you with impossible quests that required a group. people were happy to be done with a quest and never look at an area again.

chinese mmos often have more of a story you are involved with, one that is more directly involved to you or some great nation and its history, where as korean mmos often mean you have to save all of reality and the universe by grinding wolves and rock monsters for greatness. you'll be entertained with wushu for a few hours, but it will drag on and leave you wanting more to the game.

imo, Rift was pretty good if that is still around. Actually I thought Rift was excellent. Tera looked absolutely amazing in so many ways and it was a good game, but after level 10 you realized that there was not going to be much different in the game besides the exact same fights with bigger monsters.

speaking of chinese mmos, wasn't there going to be a Dynasty Warriors MMO? I'd play that, that's the kind of grind I could seriously get into...

I sure know how to ramble...
