Obviously there is a lot of media attention on this case right now. I'm wondering what everyone thinks will happen? I've been following the closing arguments all yesterday and this morning and it's starting to get really close.

I'm not a news person by any means and refrain from visiting news websites or anything that would cause me to be in a place where I'm forced to read the atrocious headlines from around the world but this case caught my attention. The media practically convicted the guy before any evidence from the case was revealed publicly. As a result tons of people sided with the guy who is now dead. For that reason, there is going to be a lot of public eruption if Zimmerman is found not guilty.

They also used a picture of him when he was 13 years old.

The jist of it is there was a overly nosey neighborhood watch dweeb who went to play police. a 17 year old black 6 foot 3 high schooler went to get munchies while most likley high.

Dweeb follows kid through the neighborhood
    >Kid calls GF freaking out
    >Dweeb keeps following
    >Kid freaks out more
    >Dweeb confronts kid
    *Unkown*
    >Dweeb on floor ass getting beat
    *Mounted dweeb
    >Dweeb Shoot kid fatally killing him.

Without the other side of the story and based on the evidence Zimmer was within his right to defend his life.

    Shitty situation really.

Zimmerman called 911 and was told not to follow him and let the police get there and do their job. He kept following.

    Pretty much it.
I have my CCW permit and have taken the proper training, which isn't how to shoot a gun, rather everything dealing with law and human rights. I understand that every incident is not cut and dry. However, the whole situation could have easily been avoided had Zimmerman minded his own fucking business. Do you think Zimmerman would have played cop if he was armed? I think not, he was definitely looking for a fight or just wanted to be a hero and forced a situation for him to be able to use deadly force. You cannot provoke a fight and then in-turn use deadly force. Zimmerman was easily the instigator in this scenario and should be tried to the full extent of the law. PERIOD!

    FRY THAT MOTHERFUCKER!!

    Hung jury.

they have no evidence to prove him beyond a reasonable especially for murder. They should go for manslaughter, I wouldn't be surprised if the jury recommends a lesser charge. However, murder wont stick beyond a reasonable doubt.

I am 90% sure, however you never know with juries.

Did you see the jury? All women last time I saw. That appeals to Zimmerman going away seeing as maternal instincts and how women are more emotional than most men so they will think along the lines of "what if it were my son" and go with the evidence given. He's getting something

    You used your inside voice?
I've been hearing this case come up a few times. This situation should not have occurred. And Zimmerman is guilty of something, in the end the courts decide of what they call it, but he should be tried in a way which lets him know that he was in the wrong and for society to see that it was not acceptable behaviour and incidents like this should not happen if people act with responsibility. This is paramount with firearms, if you're not responsible bad things will happen. The when and the how depend on your actions.
