Hi all, I just signed up here after posting a "looking for squad" message on the WT forum and Nraged was so kind to point me here. I've only been playing WT for just over a month now. Before patch 1.37 I was tier 2-5 (depending on nation). However, I've been playing combat flight simulator games since childhood. Anyone remember gunship from 1986? I was 5 back then In WT I only play FRB, or Simulator Battles as it's called these days, together with my good old MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 (carbon dated at the year 2000) and TrackIR 4 pro. I hope to have a good time, and perhaps gain some advantage by flying with other people who don't s*ck like most random groups of people put together... I live in the Netherlands where I'm a software designer during the day, and a gamer during the night. In real life I also fly planes as a hobby, mostly Cessna 172. One day I might even get a commercial license to do some sightseeing tours to keep the hobby from being a big money drain
Welkom naar NNG! I think that's the right spelling. I lived near Eindhoven for a college internship last year. We've a pretty good WT community here. I mostly play arcade and historic on occasion. Even with the time difference between us in europe and the US you can usually find someone online to play with or chat to.
Thanks! I've lived most of my life in and around Eindhoven, and did my masters at the Eindhoven University of Technology. What are the odds? Did you happen to live in Calgary as well? For a few months I've stayed there for internship.

I'll join this weekend, wife just came home so we're gonna eat and watch a movie. The Jap maps get a bit repetitive... just got 7 ground and 6 air kills in the KI-43-II in FRB
We also fly a lot of Arcade and Historical battles, I know Nraged will correct me I'm still calling it Historics..lol.
It kinda sucks that they have taken out RU and Ger maps out of rotation but at least we can fly Germans in today's event. They will probably run these maps for a week or two and than start putting in more. Either way, it's a great opportunity to grind out Jap planes and fly something fully upgraded when you queue for First Available. We normally fly Tier 3 until people grind out all the planes that they want.
