Given that a few people are playing left4dead I thought that a thread like this should be set up to help organise what mods we have installed. This is mostly important for survival and coop missions as it allows us to play more than just the levels included in the game. All mods are located in steam workshop for your convenience. This thread will allow people to download new mods to try out with other members of NNG.

    Basic template is as follows;

    Installed Campaigns:
    - Name of campaign and a brief description

    Installed skins
    - this is optional but you can list character and item skins here. Note that re-skins are only seen by you and not by other players unless they also have it installed.

    So I'll kick it off

    Installed campaigns:

    - Helms deep reborn
This survival level is based on the battle of helms deep in lord of the rings. There is usually 4 human players and 4 ai players. There are mounted guns as well as scripted destruction of the environment about you. This map is good fun and involves a lot of teamwork to do well because there is a large number of enemies and you can get separated from the group or run out of health if you are not careful.

    - Deathcraft II
This is available from the workshop in 7 parts so find the collection first and subscribe to all the parts. This is a complete mod with full campaign with multiple chapters and full characters (team and zombie) and items re-skins. What makes this mod great, it's inspired by minecraft. All the levels, characters and items are designed in minecraft style. The humans are like minecraft people and the weapons and items are blocky. All zombies are reskinned to different creatures in minecraft. Also, the levels are littered with the corpses of many famous MC youtubers. There is also some scripted crafting.

    - Back to school (BTS)
This is a new campaign with multiple chapters. Haven't much hands on experience yet to give more detail. Appears well designed from my playtime.

    - Blood tracks
New campaign which can be quite difficult as it has wooded levels. Has multiple chapters.

    - Urban flight
Another new campaign I installed recently. Yet to try it out.

    -We don't go to Ravenholm
A modder lifted the maps from half life 2 and brought them to left4dead. Cannot comment on whether there is a priest with a shotgun yet.

    -Nacht der untoten remake v2
This is a recreation of the original nazi zombies level from COD world at war. Good fun, but I did come across collision issues for the charger and tank not being able to get in through the windows inside. Sometimes the special zombies get caught outside unless they go to one of the entry point large enough for them. Regular zombie appear to be able to enter ok but takes challenge away from the map. Apparently later on they are able to get inside easier.

    Character and item re-skins:

-Kingdom key: Replaces machete with keyblade from kingdom hearts
    -HK416: replaces m4
-Nicolas cage flashlight: Turns the light from your torch into an image of nic cage's face (funny but impractical)
-Batman arkham city - bane: Re-skins the tank to look like bane from arkham city

That should hopefully cover it all. Let me know if you download any of the campaigns and want to run through them. Might I suggest deathcraft?

    Maps/Campains:
    -Helms Deep Reborn
    -Suicide Blitz 2
    -Back To School
    -Day Break
    -I Hate Mountains 2
    -Blood Tracks
    -Urban Flight

Day Break looks to be amazing. I have yet to play any of these campains.

Added quite a bit of texture packs. Too many to list IMO.

I know of l4d maps. It's where I got my mods first. But the workshop is the easiest to use as you subscribe and they they will install and update automatically.

@zero all of the first one is in two now and it is nice having more weapons. With the steam workshop now it is really easy to add more campaigns once you've played the standard ones.

I'm just gonna bump this to remind people of some of the mods we play in coop.

Tonight we had a few runs through the nazi zombies remake map. The map is a recreation of the map in cod 5. Standard zombies are re-skinned to nazi zombies and there is a mystery box too. It's a fun survival map with friends and is pretty small so it's a quick download.

We also tried helms deep. It is a challenging survival map and is great fun with friends.

And hopefully people will get deathcraft so that we can get some people playing that.
