So yesterday, I forced myself and played a good 20 + realistic battles, flying solo in my Corsair F4U-1C (yes we all know Im a huge fan of this plane)
Ill still fly AB with you guys but I am now hooked on these realistic style matches, and the rewards I've gotten a few times have been incredible, 4 air kills, 7 ground kills, no deaths, netted me 96k lions in 1 match. So yeah if you are into flying American T3 let me know, its a hell of a lot of fun

I'd really like to fly some historical with you Ajax. Similarly, I flew my P-63 yesterday in realistic and had 9 ground kills and one air kill in a round. Was the last plane left on the team and netted 60k lions. I like how the realistic feels. Taking off, flying to a way-point and then engaging.

Quite contrary to my simulation battle experience last night. Was flying with Naceo, Nraged, Sedsibi and Ducs. Ended up clipping a stupid friendly bot biplane in one battle and netted NEGATIVE 20k lions for the team kill (comic relief for the rest of the team I suppose). I have a long way to go in the simulator battles but still enjoy the hell out of it.

Anytime you like, I've been testing the waters with Simulator flight, still not sold on it yet. Realistic/historicals are pretty fun so far. Plus they take a bit of time, instead of 5-10 minutes of mindless killing and being killed. I should be on tonight around 6-7pm est.

I've really been enjoying Realistic battles, the only thing that really sucks is you can't fly different countries in the same squad. Of course i understand that US and Germany shouldn't be able to team up but when you join a match with British and half the Team is US i don't see why i can't start the match with US in my squad.

The added benefit of simulator is that your camouflage actually makes a difference. Low over the trees = you're invisible. Especially with a little fog or blinding sunlight. Very good to get away, very bad if you're chasing the enemy :)

And the fact that there is no magic mouse aim, so it's a fair fight, based on skill and how much you know your plane (run, climb or turn?).

I fly mostly tiers 1 and 2, but I'm not averse to dusting off the XP-50 for a little squad action. I'm a dedicated RB pilot. If you see me on, don't hesitate to team up.

It looks like we have quite a few guys transitioning from AB to SB which is great. AB must be at the point where its just not challenging enough or to hectic and annoying with TKs, rams and stuff like that.
I think that even you fly lower tier planes, its still a lot of fun. You get to know those planes a little more, their strengths and weaknesses and use it to your advantage.
I enjoy flying T2 in Sims for any nation because it seems to be a lot more balanced. I mean flying better planes is always great, you get to fly fast, gain energy and altitude faster but it doesn't make lower tiers bad. Plus sealclubbing makes me feel really good about myself :)

Its even more fun fighting other sealclubbers from the enemy team and its kinda funny that I can even tell who they are and what plane they may be flying right as the game starts.

There's nothing more fun than out-turning your opponent while trying to avoid a stall at treetop level, and then taking him down with some careful placed shots because you only have 20 cannon rounds!
