Hey, I'm Tbird, known to my friends as Andy (but mainly Tbird, my nickname seems to have surpassed my actual name in everyday usage). Been playing war thunder for a while now but only ever by myself (in public games) and never really that seriously, but just recently have discovered a love for the game that I never had before so am looking to get into it a little bit more. I was looking around for a squadron to fly with and came across a recruitment thread for you guys on the war thunder forums and from all the comments on there I could tell you were all a pretty cool bunch of people, so I applied and here I am introducing myself. I'm 20, from England (I had to lie about my age on the registration so don't tell the mods :P). I've been playing for a few months and doing ok in most battles but not great, and I decided I want to take it to the next level and start flying with a squadron. My friends can't stand the game and berate me every time I tell them i'm going on it haha. I mainly fly historical battles (or realistic as I should probably call them now), as i can't stand the flash mobs behind enemy planes in arcade, or getting flown into by friendlies in arcade, or being shot down by friendlies in arcade, and basically just everything about arcade :P. So, I have a few questions for you all- How many of you play mouse aim historical battles regularly? What time zone are you in? Are there people willing to help me become better at the game, in squadron fighting and solo? And finally, can i fly with some of you? I really look forward to getting to know all of you, or at least as many as possible, and I can't wait to start flying in a slightly more competitive manner. I know it's a long post, but thanks in advance for hearing me out Tbird
We have a fairly large group that flies Realistics, mostly flying with mouse and keyboard. A lot of us are in Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zone US but we have people online most all the time. You won't have any issues finding people in NNG that are willing to help you. finally you're more than welcome to come fly with us, just hope on our Team speak server and look in the Realistics channels. look forward to seeing you in the air.
There is always more room for more RB pilots. Would love to help you out any way I can. Out of curiosity, do you have a country of preference?
I've mainly been flying the p40, but US and Britain are the only 2 nations i've really ranked up that much so they would be my preference.
Most of us have all of our countries leveled up to that point, and we don't mind dropping down if we are flying higher level planes. In fact its a pleasant change for a lot of us
Hey TBird! Welcome to NNG and NNG Forums. To answer all your questions with one phrase is -EST and Yes Your age is not an issue as long as you act mature, 21 and over is a guideline but we have accepted applicants who were even younger than 18 and have kicked people who were in their 30s. It all depends upon how much nonsense people bring to NoNonsenseGamers Either way, looking forward to flying with you. We do have a pretty strong core of players in all 3 game modes so finding a wingman or two shouldn't be an issue.
