Oh, how quickly they forget SOA, the last boss in EV (swtor), being bugged for months after release and the incredible lag that used to occur in PVP. While it was smooth leveling up to 50, once you got there it was anything but, not to mention there being only one raid to do for a couple months and only 3 war zones. When they released Karagga's palace, guess what, another buggy boss, the freaking robot boss.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed SWTOR during the year or so I played it, but it had it's shortcomings. Hell, I think it may have even had the quickest loss of subs of any MMO that shortly after release.

As for WoW (played WoW for almost 3 years), it's age is killing it slowly, and any other MMO that tries to emulate it always falls short as they can't add all the features it has to theirs on release and most people won't play a sub standard WoW clone for long. The MMO genre in general has become pretty stagnant, most are of the roller coaster variety. Reach max level, do dailys for faction rewards and dungeons for gear, then raid for more gear, rinse and repeat every expansion. The exception is EvE, a hardcore sandbox that really no one plays for the PVE aspect of it (played EvE for almost 5 years).

My only hope is that ESO will be something in between, as I hope any new MMO will be, but i'm not holding my breath on it. Game devs seem less willing to take chances on something that isn't proven to be popular, aka financially sound. I can understand that position, even if each new MMO roller coaster generates little more than a yawn in anticipation for it from me.

 

Will you guys be playing on NNG ts when it comes out tomorrow morning? I bought the imperial edition yesterday and have my five day early access ready, but I have absolutely no one to play with

Im sure we will have one psycho freak on playing it tomorrow (Looking at dat sweet ass @Phaedo ) and maybe a few more. I would play it if it weren't pay to play seeing as I already do a subscription game.

I'm so on the edge with this game, cant decide if I should buy it or not.
Does anyone know what kind of content they're going to have upon release? Raids, BGs, Dungeons?

I dunno, but I'm telling you right now when someone needs a shield they're gonna come to Borin Cedarshield cause that motherfucker will have the best shields in the whole game and people are going to beg for my fucking shields
