Set up War Thunder today and it's playing great.. Will continue to tweak settings. Downloaded team speak having issues with
plug and play usb microphone. TS shows mike and speakers muted. Sound in game works great..
USB mike drivers loaded. I am hearing strange noises thru speakers when i push to talk.
    Any Ideas..

That's probably reverb, you may have to go directly into your mic settings and tweak them

If you're using windows 8, the latest update does some REAL screwy stuff to mic/speakers/headset. I could only hear game through speakers, but only hear TS through headset. (That was only after I got my speakers working again, because for some reason it disabled the speaker port entirely. What a pain.) Had to disable the headset port completely in control panel and run it through the jack on my speaker.

I think Mavis was having the same problem earlier this week and he ended up using a headset from his phone or something.

After some lengthy searching I have managed to get the sound right in game and in Team Speak. But seems my rig just
doesn't like my USB microphone. When I plug it in, it goes threw the motions of downloading the drivers for it. Then informs me that it's
ready to use. When I try to use it nothing works. I will try to find an adapter so I can plug it directly to the mobo.
If not a new microphone is in order. As a side note I am using windows 7.
Thanks to all who have offered assistance.

I am using Windows 7 also. I have a headset that is made by Plantronics and works well. It is USB, and unfortunately it can become rather uncomfortable after extended use. It's one of those "wrap around back and hang on your ears" types. They don't make this particular model anymore, but the point is that Plantronics devices seem to be Win 7 friendly. Hope this helps.
