So with the duel event getting off the ground and being fine tuned, I think we need to start brainstorming some ideas for recruitment besides a forum post. While we do have a decent amount of members, there's room yet for this division to grow. Especially for the upcoming squad battles feature in the next patch. Streaming is a possible way to get us more exposure. We can stream duels, training sessions, and even the matches where we get three squads in. I particularly want a recruitment event. People can join this streamed event freely and fly with NNG members to learn from and about us. This may sound silly, but this would be a scheduled event so possible recruits would know NNG members would be there. Perhaps making a dedicated YouTube channel could help as well. We could make some short videos demonstrating techniques or even crazy flying (think the Olympic rings contest). Anyway, let me know your ideas and any criticism you may have for me.
I think that a single YouTube channel that all NNG content could be uploaded to would be a great idea.(not sure how it would work to get videos from everyone that creates them on there)
We have a YT channel. May want to get in touch with Jaamaw to make sure there is no duplication of efforts.
I would be up for a recruitment event. I know xErnstx used to stream our games on twitch tv before we were NNG. If we got enough interest we might need to be prepared for party crashers.
We can also have more people bump the thread more often. Just don't write "bump" just put down we are still recruiting, g to our main page for the TS info if they wish to fly with us before joining. Also promote the NNG duels.
That's a great idea! As for the youtube channel, we can call it NNG War Thunder so there will be no duplicates and we can link Jaamaw's channel to it as well. Lets brainstorm this some more.
I think with the introduction of 1.39 (clan duels). I, would really like to get a competition squad together. Fine tune our tactics and really develop, our strategies and tactics.
I agree with Cory I would like to see a group get started that is committed to competing and start practicing together for squad fights. Maybe we can start another thread for that and start getting a discussion started on who would be interested and how often we can practice. If we start a recruitment event would it be us trying to launch with hopefully new recruits or would it be a custom event?
