Thought some of you would get a kick out of my new monitor setup.

I'm running an ATI HD5770 in eyefinity mode pushing 3 monitors, and the resolution is running at 5040x1050. I had to change the FOV in BF3 to 90, turn off the blur settings, and currently have all the settings on low. Now that I can look at the screen and not get sick from the blur when turning fast I'll see if I can turn the graphics setting back up some. It'll take some getting used to, the first few games I played I did horrible. It is pretty nice to see who's coming up beside you to knife you though.

get one of the lower end new 7 series (or 6 series nvidia) and you can do this with settings on medium and high.

Didn't have much time today to play with the settings, did a lot of family stuff instead. I'm hoping tomorrow to get some more time to try more settings. I know a newer card would work better but its not in the budget right now, maybe in 6 months or so I'll look into it again. Even if I'm stuck with low settings I'll be happy with it, it still looks pretty good. Just another reason why I don't game on a console.

In case you (or anyone else with a G** keyboard) you can turn on a teamspeak plugin that allows you to see who is talking on the keyboards screen.

So I just want to know. Do the monitors actually expand your FOV, or just stretch it? It's hard to tell from the picture.

Pumping up the FOV to 90 expanded it. The extra monitors house that extended view more realistically. As opposed to pumping up the field of view on just one monitor.

When driving a tank the outside 2 monitors go dark. I did find that if I turn on the IR the other monitors can be used so see more while in a tank. You do get to see more with them but the other monitors seem like peripheral vision. The objects seem to bend the more the get to the far side of the monitor.
