ISIS (Exploration Sub-Division) Recruiting

I've started drafting for the logo right now. Right now I'm seeing a bit of WarHammer 40k involved, since I'm slightly inspired to draw upon it using the NNG logo. If I wanted to use something similar to the space marine logo that Rave brought up, I'm still hitting a brick wall.

Right now, I'm thinking of using a stylized Navigational Star as a backdrop:

Finally finished the logo! Sorry for much procrastination and other distractions, but I was literally hitting a wall with these.

I have two versions:



I made the first one based on removing the white color to separate the star, and it looked cool. Yeah. For some reason the skull looks a bit off-center to me, but please do give some criticism please!

Also, I can easily make them into different colors if people want.

 

Looks good Murasa! My opinion, I like the bottom one a little better with some additional coloring on the 'star'. I think the contrast in colors looks good. Especially since the logo itself is on a dark surface. I imagine most ships are going to be a fairly dark color. I would be interested in seeing some different colors.

 

Definitely will keep that in mind. It'll be easily done and can come in hot pink and neon green varieties!

 

for the 2nd one, could you try it with green instead of white, since it's the NNG logo's color on the site.
