I've found that a lot of MMO's have a hard time getting that fluid character movement thing down. I hate to say it but from my experience WoW has been bar none the best at achieving this.

I don't really notice any clunkiness however I do notice annoyance with some of my abilities.

my bars hotkeys go as followed:
    S is Shift
    C is Control

    C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6 C7 C8 C9 C0 C- C=
    S1 S2 S3 S4 S5 S6 S7 S8 S9 S0 S- S=
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - =

and when ever I try to use an attack (instant-cast/cast/channel) on my control or shift bar it can totally fuck with my kiting. I could go to press shift and continue to run to the left but now my camera won't turn, or.... I stop attacking.

But honestly I've just gotten completely around it by making my 3rd action bar, my "Control bar" as I call it, be my utility bar. Mounts, boats, flying machines, cars, and submersibles go there. where as my 2nd action bar, my "Shift bar", is my comat utility bar. Buffs, debuffs, potions and food (also class utilities, so as a Primeval (Archery, Shadowplay, Auramancy) I would have stealth/cloak, backflip, teleport, float (float is an archer ability where you jump in the air and it increases your range and damage. (if you've played smite think Rama's ultimate)) go here. And then my 1st action bar, my "Base bar", is where I have my rotation of attacks.

    VALUABLE MATERIALS:

If you see any of these things in the wild while questing, get them. It's worth the labor points.
Note that "young" or "small" plants cannot be harvested, they will just be uprooted.

You know a tree is choppable if an axe icon appears when you stand next to it.

COTTON (required for ships) Will likely always be in demand.

Fully grown non fruit bearing trees for LOGS. The early game land rush means lumber is hard to come by and at a premium. Trees do take a fair bit of labor to chop, but you can't build houses, farms, ships, really anything without wood.

GRAPES. required for the trade pack for the first trade quest Grapevines can be planted in the public nursery in White Arden
so they aren't quite as hard to come by, but are still worth harvesting. Don't give enough wood to be worth the labor to chop though.

NARCISSUS flowers. Needed for the third trade quest which rewards a farm blueprint.

OLIVES. Required for the second trade quest, and the trees take like a day to grow, and cannot be planted in the public nursery.

Even if you aren't focusing on gathering. try and get these things if you see them.

Ores are more of a grind, iron veins seem to be pretty plentiful, and rarer ores come from fortuna veins which are left behind when you mine iron, the chance increases as you level your mining, and mining veins is pretty labor-intensive, so probably only worth doing if you plan on leveling mining.
