can we keep this civil and not respond to other posts this is supposed to be what we feel about NNG right now not attacking everyone else that we feel is part of the problem, hell if we could take off the likes for this post that would be even better as it would make things only worse

It's time I say something. As I think it is very important. And before others post I would like them to take a minute and think about what they're about to write before they write it.

    My Fully Uncensored Thoughts:

I joined No Nonsense Gamers about 2 and a half years ago. Since then I've seen it all. I've seen games rise, hopes soar, games fail, and we move on. However we all move on in different ways. Some of us jump to the next game, others distance themselves. Both of these are healthy however we need to remember who we are.

We are a community of people, of friends and gamer's alike. We come together for different reasons to accomplish the same task. To have fun. But fun is subjective, and it means a whole lot of different things to a whole lot of people. And sometimes issues arise when everyone's definition of fun doesn't match up. However we mustn't forget who we are as individuals, nor as members, nor as admins, nor as moderators.

What we have here is something that no other community offers. A linear system of checks and balances. We do right not by what a small group of people think, but by what everyone in the community thinks. We check between everyone in the forms of polls, questions, reviews, meetings, discussion. Other communities and places follow the absolute word of what their leaders say otherwise you get removed. Here we can openly say that we don't like something and then talk about it. We can all communicate and see each other as equals. Just because I'm a moderator doesn't make me any higher than someone who isn't. We are all standing on the same ground.

We need to remember that the positions we hold need to reflect what the community is about. We can't have Admins publicly berating each other in the status box. We can't have moderators openly flaming each other in Teamspeak. Yet this has been happening way to fucking much. We are about NO Nonsense. Not some. NO. It's a pretty definite word. Everyone needs to just take a step back, take a breath, and think. Tempers rise, it happens. Acting begrudgingly and spiteful towards each other is bullshit. And this is a place of no bullshit.

I have had to do my job tonight, moderating, to people who I shouldn't have to moderate. C'mon guys. Chill. Put the dicks on the table, and get it the fuck over with. Oh and stop being violently butt hurt at shit that happened over 6 months ago. You are doing nothing but resuscitating a dead horse, beating it some more, and causing drama. Stop it.

We're not a PG community, we're not an adolescent community. We are a 21+ no nonsense, no bullshit, community. We have tolerance for everyone, but no tolerance for nonsense. And it seems like this is being forgotten. We are all adults. Act like it.

I'm speaking my mind here because I feel that NNG as a community is in a rock solid fucking place. yeah the PS2 division was just put to bed, and i'm going to miss it wholeheartedly. But it wasn't our fault. We held out hope that for 3 years the developers could fix their game. They couldn't and we were encountering too many issues trying to keep the game fun and interesting for everyone. We were in an inflatable raft that has been covered in duct tape due to the amount of effort we tried to put into fixing something that we couldn't. Not on our own.

But we've also just started up an excellent new division. One that is bringing both the former PS2 players and some of the WT players together. It is an amazing change of pace. We are all having a complete blast, and being totally excellent to each other (I'm not a hippy I swear). This is something that I think everyone needs. We need to come back together. And while everyone isn't going to completely get along with each other, we have the perfect communal environment to keep that as peaceful and friendly as possible.

I gave the community an 8/10. And I did this because I feel that whereas the community is in a great place, I feel that other areas, or so I have been seeing, are a little slacking in the "No Nonsense" department. In line with the No Nonsense policy, and in order to not cause drama I will not be posing specifics as to who does what. That's dumb. But what I do know is this:

If you are, or have been, causing drama. Cut it the fuck out. Some of you should be fucking ashamed at how you've been acting. I mean I'm not perfect either. I had a huge argument with someone the other day but instead of being petty and acting spiteful toward each other, we did something crazy.

    We talked about it.

And then we got the fuck over it.

    very blunt huh...
I would say more like straight forward but ok...
Events over the recent months? Lets elaborate on that since you're asking and I'll try to be as blunt as I can be:

I ENJOY PLAYING VIDEO GAMES MORE THAN BITCHING ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE FORUMS!

Have you gotten any PMs from me about NNG/NNGC thing from me?
    -No

I voice my opinion as I see fits and I give us a 10, because I personally think that things are going great. We've got a new game to play, some new changes in the leadership, I've got a tight crew I play WT with, and trying to level up in AA even tho I hate that fucking game, but I would still play it because a lot of my friends do.

I don't know how many times we have to go back to the whole NNG/NNGC thing, but in the end, a lot of inactive and non-NNG material people have left us, oh well. If some of them who I didn't know were in fact good people, they were a casualty of much needed changes. I mean its too late to cry over the spilled milk now, but today we're down to a real tight group of people who like to play together, which is what IMO NNG is all about.

I can totally understand the reason why you're calling me out like that and I really appreciate that.
Can things be better? Things can always be better, but they can also be a lot worse and I'm happy with what we currently have.
For the record, when both of the new WT leaders stepped down/went on a break, I stepped back up and told them to turn over the squadron back to me. Also sent a PM to our community leaders outlining my future plan of action and requesting TS Admin rights.
Than as of couple of hours ago Highlander decided to come back.

I believe in dealing with shit as oppose to creating drama around it.

I've tried to stay impartial and stay out of it, the internet is too tangible to expend so much energy getting stressed out about something like this. I like you guys, I like the guys with top tags. But there are some things that I've seen that I really can't stand behind. Plenty of times where I felt that my opinion really mattered, and some times where it didn't mean much at all. There were a few posts calling for a wipe and reset of the officer positions. I think that's a bit drastic, but it holds a lot of water. If this is truly supposed to be a community that everyone is on the level on, things are beyond repair on that point. I've made a lot of good friends here and I wouldn't change it for the world, but I'm too old for this shit. It's fuckin video games. There have been a couple of times recently that I've considered stepping back and removing myself from the unnecessary stress.

I voted a 7, because for a community that boasts it's no bullshit policy, there sure is a good amount of it. I know I'm not innocent, but when there's a bullshit flinging match, sometimes you just gotta fight back.

NNG is good and improving and should do well because, for the most part,
    1. good community is encouraged, and abuse, etc actively discouraged
    2. leader does care about member opinion and listens
    3. this website pulls us together

    Note:
We are at different points on our way dying.
Some of us are students, some work nights, some are stressed out at times. But we can all be nice to each other.

I was under the impression this was a poll and a chance to voice opinions. Not go back and forth over shit that really ought to be discussed in an officer board or on TS.

Changing my vote to 7/10 because some of you are nerds

    I gave the community a 7 because:

    1) The community is fun to be around with and are really approachable. There are times where I just drift away in and out because I end up moving to another game for a few weeks (oops.) or I need to tell myself "Woah. Hold on. Too much drama. Stay away for a while." Of course there are times where my opinion has mattered and other times that I have been cast aside, but that's aside the matter. My point is, I will stick around with a good group of friends because I know they got my back and I have theirs. NNG is definitely one of 'em.

    2) We are indeed a mature community and don't deal with this kind of bullshit. This is what I really like about this community. I should probably just copy and paste what Phaedo said and be done with that.

    3) Yes, we still deal with a lot of bullshit. There are times when people just don't agree and things clash in a more violent matter. I just personally think that sometimes there's a place and time for everything. I'm guilty of this too and say things when they are inappropriate. I'm not a very tact person but I do hope that when things clashed like the whole NNG/NNGC matter we can deal with it like adults.

    4) I like to joke and play a lot. Don't be surprised if I have a face like my avatar most of the time and seem to contradict that..

Have to move and get a new job, lose internet for 2 weeks (still tethering my phone, hope cable guy comes today), and I find out the PS2 div is gone... completely. Reasons given are kind of dubious (oh no, purple haired talking head and obnoxious photoshop monkey left, must mean GAME IS DYING?!?!?). If Jaam wanted to step down that's one thing, but really, we couldn't find one guy who wanted to keep it going? We're still getting recruits for it ffs. Oh well.

I'm not enjoying archeage, especially as a second class free to play plebian, and I can only fly in warthunder for so long, but I like 90% of the people in NNG, so now what do I do?

Do what I do, play with your friends.
Every game is more fun when you do things with people and take it to the next next level.
Have you tried flying in WT with a competent wingman or two, watching each other's backs and pulling defensive splits? Try that.
Have you tried ganking scrubs in AA with someone there by your side?
It's a lot more fun. The initial grind isn't but there is a lot more in the game and it's all based around working with others. You can do well in AA by playing without a sub, it only really kicks in when you start crafting stuff.

Enjoy playing with your friends and you will appreciate the game a lot more, that's all I'm trying to say.
