That's true and I only juust finished mine. However officers are in that position of responsibility and currently there aren't a whole lot of responsibilities. Adding raid leading on to that list is a major plus in terms of keeping the leadership leading, occupied, and responsible for their teams. Officers don't have to lead always, they could just be a member of raid team, however set raid groups will always be lead by officers. And as of right now we're trying to form up one group because we only have enough tanks and healers for the one group so nothing is lost by having just one person ready to go.

Forgive me if I don't answer your question properly, I'm sorry but I don't fully understand what you're saying. But to answer what I think you're getting at, You can enter GHA with 50 quest gear in a party with the other having the set and get what you need, absolutely.

In fact I encourage you to do this, as not only will you be experienced with running in that group setting, but I know @ThaneKrios, @Jaamaw, and @Friednug definitely have that place on fucking lock down full farm mode, and they can run it with pretty much zero issues. I'm not going to speak for them in saying they'll run everyone through all the time to get them their gear, but if you ask nicely and listen closely and watch guild chat, definately try and squeeze into their runs. I know @Nraged is also always trying to get runs together every time I see him so hit these guys up. I don't have a problem helping either, but I don't think I've been available enough when these guys are going to recommend myself as an experienced GHA dunker. But these 4 are defiantly good GHA runners, so check with them.

Hope I answered your question man! let me know if I didn't :D

I don't have any Hasla weapons yet, but I am geared enough for GHA as a DPS. My plan is to get healing gear in there, get my healing Halsa weapon, and raid as a healer. Saying that, I also have decent RDPS gear, and would always be willing to provide some extra pew pew in the meantime while I gather my healing stuffs.

I voted no because I don't have the gear yet and don't anticipate having the gear in time to make the first team.

Unless you have Hasla, or a crafted weapon that's close, and all end quest gear at least. you aren't geared enough for GHA. We have run people though GHA that had bad gear, but it's a carry and nothing more, and it required all full GHA gear and probably a couple. wipes. That's just how the dungeon is. If you want to run GHA get your hasla weapon, or get a crafted weapon that is equivalent.

I think while it is nice and easy to say, "you can't do "x" unless you have "y" gear," there a lot more factors that come into play. I first ran and tanked Hasla with lvl 50 questing gear, a slightly regraded illustrious sword, and a very good shield from AH but not a hasla shield. We wiped only once which was on Calliel bc of a simple mistake. I was in full plate with one cloth piece.

From my experience in mmos, successful raid teams are about 70% knowledge/30% gear. Know boss mechanics, know positioning, understand how you generate/reduce threat/aggro, know your strongest skill rotation, etc. Its nice having full GHA and Hasla but that doesn't mean its an easy run. Most raids consist of mechanica made to 100% negate how good youe gear is (i.e. insta-kill abilities from bosses).

So don't think because you aren't in full GHA/hasla/regraded that you cant run GHA. Play smart and you can make it happen. Gear only makes it easier.

We should encourage reducing the barrier to entry in dungeons runs and such. I know of people who don't feel included in guild activities bc only the same 5-7 ppl are asked to run them regularly and then are told off when they mess up. All of us at one point didnt have hasla weapons and GHA gear and one point someone carried your ass as well.
