Murasa and I have been playing this recently.
And I was thinking to myself "Well, I haven't done a massive wall o' text in ages"
So I went for a medium sized wall of text

So here's some things to plonk down about this free to play spaceship game

Big ships, big crews, slow start.
This is something that came up when someone else was trying the game; you are forced into at least two tutorial games before you can actually face off against people. Even more so, one of the modes is locked off until further in.
I wouldn't label it as newcomer friendly, but at least they are attempting to give you tools to kinda know what you are doing.

    The objectives
Pretty simple here, but something that you need to keep in mind. The objective of both modes is to cap the enemy base. This ain't no World of Tanks or warships, but more arcade. You can blow up the enemy team multiple times over and you respawn.
And they explode better than in anything world of.

    Yer ship
You get a lot of movement options in this game, which I really, really appreciate. You can strafe! Which is more than what I can say of say, Dreadnought. The ships are large and have weight behind them, but it isn't like you can't maneuver.
    Also, no tier system.
Yeah you heard right. No. Tier. System.
I mean goddamn how long it would take to unlock tiered ships in those other games? You have to get research and then unlock and buy it. Yeah not here.
Just straight up buy it with in game credits. It can take some games for that but hey, f2p. S'a thing.

Additionally, the game also is similar in how turrets work. They will take time to turn to where you want them to turn.

What kind of ships are available you ask? Well, it goes from broadsides to cloakies to light attack ships to ships which have BEAMS OF DEATH, and ships which have heals.
    And a sniper.

Unfortunately when you begin you start with only three ships, but they are all pretty viable.

Come join me and Murasa in some explody ship fun! Or not.

Is this the game thats structured as a space MOBA?
I think I've tried it a couple of months ago and it was kinda cool, but I couldnt really get into it because I didnt know anyone else who played the game.
The combat seemed to be a lot of fun and deeper into the round things were getting faster like they should in a MOBA type of a game.
I totally agree with the fact that its not really newcomer friendly. I had to watch a few videos to learn things about the game and I know for a fact that there are plenty more. I can see how teamwork really pays off too. Ships and asteroids look amazing, there is no doubt about that.
The crew set up was a bit confusing, but I'm pretty sure can be learned over time.
I just wish they had some kind of a cockpit mode, that would add a lot more flavor to the game.

If it wasn't a MOBA, I would try it.

Its not an actual MOBA but the PVP in it is a lot like it is one. To my understanding, there is no assigned lanes or junglers or anything like that.
Or may be I just havent gotten that deep into the game yet.

Phase 3 - or otherwise known as Conquest 2.0 just recently came out.

I haven't tried the new stuff yet, will try it later tonight. The new changes make me a bit skeptical; I honestly just want ship on ship action and none of this last kill minion stuff.
