I wanted to make another thread with a topic I feel thats important.

WE need People who will lead Ops everynight. We also need people who can put together outfits platoons and have simple strcuture. I myself get burnt out and Do not like running 2 platoons everynight. I am sure some other feel the same way.

Also, at the moment Platoon leaders barely GET CERTS. We have no incentives to lead 4-8 squads (48 people/ 96 people) and sit in a Sunderer looking at a map and sending out invites and managing people. We do it becuase it's more fun!!!!

These types of OPS are more relaxed but still have structure.
    For example:

    Monday Tuesday Wed. Sat. Sun
    6:00 pm EST ..... ...... 6pm 6 pm
    10:00pm EST ..... ..... 1am 1am
    Jaamaw Midnight Moss Actuals Actuals
Daily OPS Daily OPS Daily OPS OPS OPS

We have to figure out times people are on or can play (This is just an example.). Ops nights are where we implament our command structure for total domination. Daily Ops give us a chance to GET CERTS, GET KILLS and have fun and find other potenital leaders.

Just wanted to post something. I see we have many members on and they seem to be waitng for either Midnight, Jaamaw, Haxxor or I to log in.

Guys sometimes we need breaks to level up and get certs and have less stress. I myself Work from home and have a kid. Majority of the time I am bouncing between the Two and cannot devote the time nedded for a successful platoon.

I am hoping we can come up with some plans regarding this as well.

    Thanks,
    Deathrus

I can't agree with this more. I have no qualms leading 1 platoon all night after I've been out drinking, but I don't believe that would be in everyone's best interest. /headbang I'm hoping when we have more regulars in squads that they'll get the hang of listening to our protocols (and see the logic and tactics) and they'll step up and lead a squad and eventually a platoon and we can all be interchangeable at some point. But before that happens, step it up anyway! It can be fun leading a squad. Just send a tell or speak up in outfit. Or if you want some tips or have suggestions feel free to send a message. Or better yet, if you have any interest in leading a squad and/or platoon or say something here.

I am just learning the game myself. I get lost on the map in my Scythe nearly as much as I engage in battle. Leading is not an option for me at this stage in the game.

I have no problems leading platoons, but it also tires me out after a little while and I need a break (at least while I get used to directing a larger amount of people). It goes a lot more smoothly as well if people aren't constantly screaming over platoon or in outfit about something random. While that isn't such a big deal, it's hard managing a platoon while the randoms in your faction and platoon (even some people in the Outfit) would rather sit at the crown and your platoon is more or less the only presence against an entire faction. That is what wears me out and discourages me the most, because I don't like to fail or lose. However, I can understand some people just wanting to break away from the hard fight and go to the easy certs that is The Crown, or just wanting to relax in general while playing the game.

I'm more than up for doing it when there is no clear leader or direction being followed like there was last night, and in the future should it be asked of me. Despite being insanely outnumbered (and getting no help at all from 75% of our faction being at The Crown), I feel we did a pretty decent job at stopping the TR from crushing us with their almost 3:1 population advantage in our northern territories. I'd like to be a Squad Leader at the least when things get settled once the game goes live.

But there definitely needs to be some form of hierarchy that people are aware of, or at the very least people need to understand that listening to your Squad and Platoon leaders usually only leads to success, and in being one of these leaders, you need to at least try and direct the flow of said platoon (there are some examples where this is not the case... ie, we have 20% territory control, and all a certain someone wants to do is take our whole outfit to the crown (which is isolated in a sea of NC territory)).

Most of your concern relies in the quality of players. At the moment this is in BETA. I assure you that when the game goes live the People who do not listen or participate in outfit activies will be weeded out.

We have many members ATM. I am getting to know some myself and have found so far players that listen well and have leadership potential.

Zaelers, don't worry about what people think. You can be assertive and have resolve. My biggest advice is to keep trying it will become easier and more natural. You can also PM or ask other members for Advice. All successful leaders have teams of Advisors who give suggestions. I would be wary of a leader that does not take advice.

I am sure you've seen me tell people to re-call. Then they ask "Orders". I'll reply "Hold on I am looking at the map". LOL, most decisions do not require an instant responce and the once that do are usually very easy ones to make.

Also this is practice for REAL LIFE, no joke. The ability to lead is a lifelong skill and a Game can help create that foundation :).

I assume when we go live we will probably have around 40-60 mebers maybe less. I think we will probably lose majority of our members once the tranistion begins. I think we are at 160 mebers atm.
After that we can focus more on our core players and be picky about who we invite to the outfit. So don't worry about, we'll have people who will be less difficult and if you notice most of the currect leaders are pretty easy to direct as well. GOOD LEADERS ARE GOOD FOLLOWERS.

More often than not, I am also doing about 3 other things when I play. Work, kid and playing. I want to get with the other outfit leaders and make a day for me when I lead the platoons during a certain time. I'am perfectly fine with that.

However, if we ever decide to create our ops structure or something similar to it that would require at least Five to six core ops leaders for the different positions.

I am hoping too we find some more people to step it up.

This is going to occur. Most of the people will be lost with even the next char wipe. EVERYONE who is a member on the site is going to be re-invited to the official NNG outfit when char wipes are done and upon game release. I do not have a limit to how big the outfit will grow but I am thinking at launch we will be AT LEAST 48 (significant number people!) core players who are feared by the NC and TR. Hax and I are making a form for applying to Executor.

After launch the in game restrictions to joining the outfit will be different. In order to join after release, we will run recruitment squads on specific times. These squads will be overseen by a High Templar or Executor and run by a Judicator in training. This will allow for the new squad leaders to become familiar with running platoons, giving decisive instructions and ensuring everybody follows through with orders. This will also ensure we aren't picking up scrubs post launch (As of right now, it's a beta and we are all basically scrubs because the game isn't even finished, so anyone who is participating in the beta is obviously going to have a huge 1 up on the new players on launch).

I think that after a month with the game being launched. We will be anywhere between 60-100 core NNG PS2 division players. An elite gaming outfit who can accomplish the most difficult of tasks Auraxis will have to offer us.

That means currently only 15-20 people will be reinvited. At least they showed initiative

I wouldn't mind being a squad leader or if need be platoon leader. I am not a fan of using my mic late at night though.
