...seems like its dying off considerably here in the states. I can load hundreds of servers in the browser list (Back to Karkand selected too, and nothing else filtered) and get less than 20 servers that are full, and less than 10 that are half full. What is going on? This game is losing steam FAST, and I have a feeling its because of no Mod support.

Hell I can select North America and ALL of Europe for region filter, and still only come up with less than 50 full servers. Yeah....

DICE did so many things wrong with BF3 that it's not even funny.

First off, you can get all weapons and unlocks after probably about 40 hours of gameplay. The incentive beyond that is minimized by silly dog tags and ribbons.

They did add some new goals to the game during B2K via the achievements system. They should do this more going forward.

There are over 12,000 servers currently active in the Battlefield 3 community.

Even if every server were full but only supported 32 players, that would mean there are 384,000 people online, playing BF3. And there are NOT 384,000 people playing BF3.

If we up that player count to 45, to count some of the 64 player servers out there, then that would mean there are 540,000 players playing BF3. Obviously not all servers are full, not even 25% of them are full.

So yes, from a PC perspective this game is already starting to fade.

There are no more achievements left to achieve.
Hacking is becoming more and more prevalent.
The netcode absolutely blows and makes gunplay VERY frustrating. (Especially when you die when you know you had the jump on someone.
The game crashes, freezes, and fails to load maps more than any other game I've played.
    No VOIP.
    No Mod tools.
    Crummy, even laughable comma rose.

I still like the game and enjoy playing with you guys but we all got severely shafted by Electronic Arts. This game was supposed to last us for 2 years. Many BF2 vets had over 2000 hours. We'll never get anywhere near that in BF3.

At some point in the future we'll have to explore migrating to another game for this community. Arma III?

But yeah Franko, mods tools would change everything though. This game needs a Project Reality mod way more than DICE or EA will ever admit. They would literally be one-upped by their own community developers.

To keep Battlefield 3 alive they really need to release frequent map packs, expansions etc, and of course fix all the problems that still exist.=-COFEE

Well being a "gaming community" we have the ability to move onto other games as they come out. Who knows maybe BF3 was meant to just be a starting point for us!
