Hello - Iv'e enjoyed playing PS2 with you all and learning while playing the game. I'm called spaceship from my name in Unreal Tournament 99 - back then I initially thought about spaceshipearthcrew i.e. crew on the spaceship earth, but shortended it. laugh.

Teamspeak 3 - never used it before but it seems to be working - I'd like to fine tune it a little.
I'm guessing you kept track of who is on TS during the PS2 game so no one from the other factions is spying.
I've installed teamspeak 3 on my windows 7 box, I've ordered a decent noise-cancellation uni-directional microphone, use stereohead phones - not a lot of multiplayer or gamer experience beyond UT99.

Asking for tips on TS setup - I don't have the TS overlay enabled - microphone is set to NUMPAD 2 in teamspeak.
I think I should get the planetside 2 game sound, master volume, and player voice volume correct, then set the teamspeak volume to match.

Last night, I could hear the teamspeak fine and PS2 player voice at first for about 30 minutes, then I could only hear the teamspeak and could not see the PS2 voice at the bottom and could not hear PS2 player voices- I'll try again hopefully tonight.

Do you have the overlay enabled? Microphone voice activated or not? Anything else?
    Thanks.

Hey spaceship, there are a few ways you can do this but heres what i would suggest.

The overlay is great and useful but it doesnt always work and it really on helps you learn voices to name faster.

Push-to-talk is the best way to go so you dont have to worry about accidently spaming or being cut off because you spoke to quietly. Push to talk lets you be heard when you want, with you controlling when it turns off.

You may want to try and change your push to talk to a mouse button or a button you can pinky with your left hand so you can communicate while still playing actively.

I've always used CAPS LOCK but SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE YELLING AT PEOPLE WHEN YOU TRY TO CHAT AFTER TALKING ON TEAMSPEAK LOL

The overlay is nice, but it seems pretty buggy... it doesn't seem to remove users from the display, so if a bunch of people leave it still looks like they're in the channel unless I force the overlay to update (alt-tabbing out of PS2, or I *think* hitting the overlay key... default [~], I think ).

I use the thumb button on my mouse for Teamspeak, and have bound the pinky mouse button (button on the right side of the mouse) to proximity chat in game. I'd also recommend checking your keybindings in game so you know which keys are bound to ingame squad, platoon and outfit voice comms. I've noticed that we do seem to be using in-game voice chat more, and when we're running open platoons many of the members aren't in TS, so it's the only way to communicate with them.

You Swedish bastard, I don't have that key on my keyboard...
Got it on Numpad Enter though, but I'll have to relocate it soon. I've tried Ctrl and CAPS LOCK, but they suck.
