I think Pong came out in the early 70's and Tele Pong 75 or 76. Remember those portable computers that the keyboard snapped into the front of the computer facing the massive 5 or 6" green screen?

My first computer only had a 5.25" floppy and no hard drive. You had to load the operating system into RAM on one disk, remove it, then load the program on another. In high school we used penciled punch cards.

There is no real useful difference between HDMI cables and DVI cables on their than the fact that HDMI cables bring audio aswell as picture

I'd like you to read that again. They are all stating that HDMI and DVI are essentially the same with the only difference being audio.

"HDMI (high definition media interface) is a newer port, but is 100% compatible with digital DVI signals. You can get cheap DVI->HDMI and HDMI->DVI cables and adapters (not converters, because there's nothing to convert). HDMI has the advantage of being able to carry an audio signal, but this only works if your card supports outputting HDMI audio and your monitor has built-in speakers can can receive audio over HDMI."

Also, HDMI cable are more expensive for shorter lengths compared to DVI cables.

Here is a video if you wish to watch:

Also, many people I know and have spoken to say go DVI because it is cheaper, longer(by price compared to HDMI), more secure, and does the same thing as an HDMI cable instead of audio. They say more secure because HDMI cable don't have much of an anchor point to keep it in the socket if you are moving often, have vibrations on your desk, or just buy a bad cable that was cheaply built whereas DVI has screw in points to keep it secure to the monitor with no risk of falling out.

Also, with more modern DVI cables, you are able to have audio as well making it the better cable overall.
