Esamir = Winter Winter = The other side of the wardrobe The other side of the wardrobe = Narnia Narnia = Aslan Aslan = Roar Logic! But yeah, that is pretty freaking cool.
But the winter came to an end, when the witch was defeated sometime in the forties. And given the differences in how time flow in this world and Narnia there is no telling what has happened there. I'm more inclined towards thinking it might be a Wampa, or considering the fluff a monster plant.
