So now that I have a decent-paying job I can actually upgrade one more part of my computer. The Graphics Card.

A few months back you guys may remember I was looking to upgrade my CPU. In the end I upgraded my CPU, Mobo, and Ram. I've been in love with the results and PS2 went from 8-20 FPS (and something like a 0.3 KDR) to 20-35 FPS (I usually have a 1.5 KDR).

    But now it's my GPU that's bottle-necking me. Here's what I got.

    CPU: i5 3570k @ 3.40 GHz
RAM: 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Black
    Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
GPU: Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 OC

As you can see, my GPU is over 5 years old. It still plays most modern games at high or medium settings so it's doing a pretty good job for what it is.

I'm looking to spend less than 300 and I'd prefer to stay with Nvidia if I can.

    And suggestions?

    Have fun :D

EDIT: Hey, I've actually got an inside tip from a friend who works at EVGA. First off, two of these in SLI can beat a single Titan easily, and at much less than the current cost... current, key word. Because of this, Nvidia may go and "fix" the price, ie, increase it due to its' efficiency. I'm going to be buying myself one this coming Friday. The deal is un-beatable, I suggest you do the same if you are serious about the upgrade :)

I agree, the 760 is a good buy for a card under $300. PNY is one of the best brands too (IMO).

A good place to get info is the NVIDA webpage.

You can find the card you want, compare it to other NVIDA cards, then click the link to see who sells it at the lowest price.

Right now this is what I want to upgrade to. Pretty much gutting my current PC and replacing it with these parts. Keeping my RAM and PSU since those are fine (16gigs RAM DDR3 1600 and 850 watt PSU). I kinda bought to much RAM lol and it's overkill :P

I've always liked EVGA. And because this is so damn expensive, I'll probably just upgrade my CPU a little, and SLI my Vid card. I like power, but I'm cheap lol

I personally wouldn't go with PNY, they always felt cheap to me. I prefer EVGA for everything, just try to get the one with twin fan cooling

PNY keeps almost all of their cards reference, so they're not terrible. I'm partial to the ASUS DirectCU series myself as they put a lot of non-reference engineering into their cards.

GIGABYTE is decent, some people like them some people hate them. Sapphire is also pretty good.
