NNGT and the future. Also I've taken control of your command console!

Hey guys, I'll try to be brief but I wanted to drop a little update on you all.

First off, I've managed to hack Jaamaw's brain and trick him into letting me become an officer in NNG. It wasn't easy, I had to wait until Friednug was offline, crawl into the tailgun seat of the liberator and wait with my stalker cloak until jaam hopped in his chair to skylead. But patience paid off, and here I am.

I have a few goals or areas of focus as a newly minted officer. First off, is investing a little bit into our TR altfit. My vision is to make it a place where players who want to be a part of the NNG community but generally main as TR can spend time. It will build our community and help us connect with some great players who just don't happen to be of the purple persuasion. NNG is, and always will be a VS primary outfit however, and I would encourage any NNGT players to make VS alts, join the main NNG ops that we hold, and be just as integrated into the main outfit as I have been with you all so far. Just to give you guy an example of the potential we have with this venture - we picked up two very good new recruits (TheMadBoxer and Warsonic) through NNGT just this week. I hope to get a few more through word-of-mouth recruitment methods.

I also want to help enhance our infantry gameplay at the competitive level. While my expertise is much more infiltrator-specific, I have been playing enough to understand the dynamics of Planetside infantry combat, and will try to use this experience to improve our ground game. To that end, I look forward to working with everyone, officers and members, as we bring pride to the outfit through these public community events.

Lastly, I want to use my video-making efforts to promote NNG publicly with a recruitment video. We won't even begin working on anything until after season 1 of CommClash, but I'd love it for those of you who can record gameplay, to try and save your quality NNG moments and stick them in a folder for me. The more material we have to work with, the better. From gal drops to air squids, swagriders and glowy lobsters, I want to show off the talent, teamwork and yet laid back nature of the outfit.

great read. but should we make a new recruitment thread on the official forums just for our TR outfit? let it be known it's not just a alt outfit any longer.

 

Totally up for grabbing TR people, and I do get a certain level of enjoyment killing other NNG peeps when rolling alts.

I think playing different factions is fun and being a member of a 4th faction has it's benefits.
For no skill OP vehicle whores like me it's even better. If I'm solo grinding on my VS guy and I see a good TR/NC fight, I switch factions and start farming them until something else happens.

I don't know if this has ever been brought up, but we can run FNO counter ops just for fun. Create toons on other servers and have some fun vs an outfit that's doing FNO.

 

I wouldn't mind rolling a TR alt. Especially now that my main (and only) character is getting within viewing distance of BR100. Papa Vanu knows the TR on Mattherson could use the population boost. Things have been pitiful for them lately.

PS2 is just no fun when you are severely over or under popped. The best fights happen when it's near 33% across the board.
