Another day another hotfix. Unmentioned is the latest from Gaijin's magical Battle Ranking machine. Most notable is the new P-63 A-10 rank of 5.0 in RB/SB (up from 3.7). The A-5 has a 4.3 now I think (though my memory is shotty on this) and the C-5 has a 4.7 if that makes any goddamn sense what so ever.

Also the render optimizations appears to apply to the flame effects.

EDIT: You know something is wrong with me when I use reddit as my go-to source for all things War Thunder rather than the official thread.

 

Oh, and they fixed the sun prop glare on some of the aircraft.

 

This is what I got from the WT forums when I loaded up the game today:

• A new mission type is now supported (the missions themselves will be available later)

• Several crashes have been fixed

• Render optimizations

So tell me how this isn't brilliant in a fucked up kind of way:
-Ru planes up to T3 are better than Germans
-In T4 Germans hold their own really well and its almost a fair fight
-Devs thought that it would be a great idea, in addition to everything that Russians have, give them the best US plane... Yes Premium P63!

In most games at T4 that I have played so far there would be at least 1-2 Kingcobras on the Ru side.

 

Exactly why I prefer tiers 1 and 2. The russians may have the upper hand with equiptment, but I can fly other countries and exploit bad pilots who don't understand that the deck was stacked in their favor.

 

I'm trying hard but I just cannot ignore the bias in this game.
What I found strange last night was I couldn't do crap my first 7-8 matches, either died with no kills or went 1 for 1.
Then suddenly BOOM, 3 kills no deaths, 5 kills no deaths, 6 kills no deaths 3 kills 1 death...
Sometimes tis game just confuses me to no end

 

Frank Luke was a madman in WW1 with dozens of air kills. He was only shot down once. The townspeople in France that witnessed it gave him a hero's burial.
It only takes one time to lose the upper hand. You have a choice, fly the Russians, or stack every game in your favor. Ariel combat is 3 dimensional chess. Know your opponent's moves before he does.
