I gotta give props to Hospi for getting things running again. I'm thinking of getting back into PS2 because of the things he and Icebalm has done.

Now about the gameplay direction the devs are doing right now.... I think I'll agree with you on that.

 

I should add that you can game the cover in stealth a lot once you get good at it. I once evaded a guard by hiding behind a palm tree and moving opposite them to stay out of their line of sight. They were less than a foot away but I timed my movements right. I have done the same with pots on pillars

 

No please don't get me wrong, I have absolutely NOTHING against Hospi at all, in fact I have the utmost respect for him for taking the reigns and charging NNG back into PS2.
I gave up on PS2 before the Jaam incident even happened,
I just don't have the interest in it anymore, now for Payday 2, I really want to learn how to play this correctly,
All I manage to do is piss off the guards, shoot a ton of police, and eventually get arrested.

 

Well if I'm in teamspeak you can always ask me and I can run through a few missions with you and explain things as they happen.
I'm sure other payday players like murasa and wargrunt would be happy to help too.

I will be online about 2pm-8pm eastern tonight anyway. Will probably be online about 3pm-12pm Friday.

They are patching everyday for the next 4 days or so at the moment so you will need to update it. They are running a 10 day spring break event with updates each day. This is day 7 I think. The updates usually go live around 5pm eastern I think.

The updates include new items, playable characters, missions and enemy types so far. And it is all free.

Payday has a lot of dlc, I wouldn't buy everyone but there are a few that are great to pick up in sales as the new weapons and missions keep it fresh.

Payday forces everyone to update when dlc comes out. The purpose of this is so that you already have the assets. So people with dlc can join your game and you see their items. It also has another great feature, everyone can play the paid dlc missions. Buying dlc is the only way to host the missions but you can join anyone else's game running a paid dlc mission. I feel that a lot of their dlc is team based due to you allowing others to enjoy new missions. One dlc allows you to use grenades but you can also then purchase a grenade drop for a mission so that your teammates without the dlc can use them too.

Yeah, I can't blame ya for that Ajax. I left PS2 for the same reasons; I got too frustrated with the gameplay and I feel I wasn't getting the progress I wanted. And people can be such awful people.

Anyway, the patches happening every day now is because of the whole Spring Break update where Overkill decided to put in tiny patches every day for new content, including new items, masks and in yesterday's patch, missions.

Oh, don't be afraid to go loud either. I love shooting cops in the face. And go "FUCK YOU CLOAKER" every time ninjas jump on my buddies. Besides, I think I can take out cop rage on them online instead of real life.
