Planning Launch Certs

So, am I the only one starting to obsess over where they're going to be spending their certs when the game launches?

As it stands, I find myself torn over what I want to focus on - made all the worse by the fact that the Beta has shown me that I'm enjoying different options than I originally planned on. Originally I thought I'd focus on medic/MAX/Galaxy/SquadLeader - more or less the things I did in PS1.

Now, however? I've learned not to fear, but instead love the Magrider - and with it, Engineering certs. And I definitely enjoy being a Squad Leader and the options that come from there (I like putting out beacons, rally point smoke, using /region chat, etc).

I'm thinking that I'm going to spend my Alpha Squad SC points on guns for the Mag - but figuring out where to focus my certs early on is driving me a bit mad. On the one hand, "rushing" SquadLeader points sounds nice, just to help focus the zerg. But then, I play best in my Magrider - which means earning certs faster. Of course, Magriding "needs" engineering skill to stay in the fight longer. . .

Round and round my overthinking goes.

I think I'm gonna spend some time tonight writing down what certs I currently have/use and building a wishlist from there. What about you lot? Any plans on how you'll be making the best of a clean slate?

 

I will go Eng for sure. Once I feel satisfied with that progress, I will probably pimp my sunderer. Then i will go uber destruction heavy assault with c4 and the works.

 

I really wanna stay a infiltrator as my main ground infantry and engineer as my second because they own when we get in a big ass armor platoon and than get the needed certs for other classes (like anti air rocket launcher, c4 with light assault etc.). Falling after infiltrator I would like to pimp out my scythe with hellstorm, proton torp launcher, flak armor and max speed. For ground vehicles I would go all mag and nothing else by putting certs into front and side armor(situational) than sticking with the default weapons for a while and just increase the magazine size for both main and alt weapon with 1 cert into optics and 1 into fire sup. Other than that, I will put points wherever we need them

 

Magrider/engineer or heavy assault will be a priority for me.

I'm likely heading toward Heavy Assault/Engineering.

 

So how many skulls and zebra stripes do you think 7500SC will get me?

Serious answer:

Will definitely be kitting out my Light Assault, maybe some squad leader stuff as well although not all the way to orbital. I'll some some certs into the MAX as well once some interesting weapons get unlocked.
