This is driving me insane. I did a little test with my Steelseries QCK (left) vs a solid blue plastic book (right).

    The result:

My Logitech G5 v1 seems to prefer color rather than black, I have no idea if the textile steelseries QCK is causing the problem.

    Any ideas?

It might be the texture of the mousepad. Was your last one like it?

I don't remember what I had before QCK, but I made a temporary fix.

 That is cute. Plain c u t e cute.

It may be because its wavy from being rolled up in its case. Go ahead and play with it (i.e. stretch it a little, roll it the other way, put a heavy book on it when it is flat) for a bit then try it.

The jaggy lines are from the mousepad I've been using for a year or so (steelseries QCK). Something tells me tiny holes in the textile is fucking with the laser, or maybe it's the color.

I think its the texture becuase you use a laser. You want a flat, smooth surface for those. My mouse is laser and I use a Razer Goliathus Contorol so it is textured but there is a good bit of spacing for the mouse to use. I'd say get a new mousepad if that problem has been happening for a while. I can reccommend you some if you would like.

Should I go for control or speed? I find it strange though that my mouse refused to work with steelseries 4HD, hope I don't run into the same problem with Razer.

Edit: I usually play on slow mouse speeds.

I use the control edition. I'd say go for that one.
