    I'd also like to add:

Don't judge a weapon solely by it's DPS. Just because a weapon fires faster and does decent damage doesn't make it better than a slower weapon that does more damage. If you're looking just at the damage side of things, this extra info could help you out:

    Pulsar LSW
    • Damage per shot: 143
    • Rate of Fire: 698 RPM
    • Magazine Size: 75
    • Damage per second: 1663.57
    • Maximum Damage per magazine: 10725*
    • Time until Empty magazine: 6.4s
    • Shots to kill: 7*
    • Headshots to kill: 4
    • Maximum Kills per magazine (1000HP/person): 10*
    Flare
    • Damage per shot: 167
    • Rate of Fire: 577 RPM
    • Magazine Size: 75
    • Damage per second: 1605.98
    • Maximum Damage per magazine: 12525*
    • Time until Empty magazine: 7.8s
    • Shots to kill (1000HP): 6*
    • Headshots to kill (1000HP): 3
    • Maximum kills per magazine (1000HP/person): 12*
    * = Does not include headshots.
When you combine the Flare's smaller cone of fire (it's among the smallest of all LMGs) when aiming down the sights, its low first shot recoil multiplier, a compensator, and a forward grip, you are more likely to land a headshot. Take all of that into account and then add soft-point ammunition, making you do even more damage at range. Did I mention that having a slower firing weapon means it will take longer for it to reach its maximum cone of fire bloom?

Now, I'm not saying that the Flare is better than the Pulsar. I'm saying the Flare is better than the pulsar for the scenario it's built for.

Vonic is absolutely correct. Some weapons are more build for specific scenarios, just like the flare. Others are build to accommodate all situations, like the Pulsar.

So it mainly comes down to which YOU prefer. Having a weapon specialize in the scenario it's designed for and refrain from using it where it's not. Or a weapon specializing in every scenario and using it effectively, consistently.

Which is why I hope in the future, we refrain from "Don't buy that shitty piece of shitty scat colored flare shooting shit shot".

It's better to stay positive and show what works for you and showcase your playstyle, those with similar styles will get the information they wanted AND those with opposite styles learn too!

    I've used Polaris,Orion,SV-88, Flare,LSW

I always favored the polaris. It had at one point a 200 round mag with extended clip(got nerfed).

Out of all of those I use the Flare,SV-88.

Sv-88 has a fast bullet speed and does well at range with appropriate attachments and does well in CQC hip shoting. I use this when fighting TR heavies CQC for the simple fact another skilled TR heavy can out-head shot me faster than I can headshot them.

The Flare has replaced everything I use besides the SV-88 for Tr heavies. I roll with compensator, Extended Mag and 2x precision. It kills quick close range and ranged, I haven't tried different ammo yet due to the success I have been having. It only has trouble versus Tr heavies that are good.

I drop anything other than a heavies (maxes) really quick. Whats great is I do not have to reload often due to having 150 shots. I always found myself whipping out the pistol with the LSW, orion and Sv-88. Now I can kill up to four people and not have to reload using the flare
