Does Sweet FX actually provide a performance change? I know on the site the guy tries to make it clear but I don't see any evidence/people endorsing that it can help improve performance.

I have seen posts on the PS2 forums claiming it does improve their framerate, but that was during the beta. I haven't performed any tests to confirm.

I'm using it with BF3 and it looks pretty slick. A bit over contrasty but I can adjust. Game looks totally different :D

I believe you can adjust the levels in the INI.

I believe what people mean by "I got more performance" is simply that you can turn the game settings LOW, and then touch it up with sweet fx and make it look like the higher level graphics. So, in short, keep max graphics on while reducing the tax on your pc.

This, from what I have read, is because the game's built-in FXAA is slow and bulky. Apparently SweetFX disables the built-in FXAA.

Well in all honestly I always hate FXAA. But it's also not my concern as far as frames. My GPU doesn't even break a sweat running PS2.
