Getting started with Tekkit:

• Download the Tekkit Launcher: http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit-lite/:
  
• Launch Tekkit
• Select "Tekkit Lite" from the dropdown menu in the top left
• Click the "Options" button on the bottom right
  
• Beside "Custom Zip" paste the following url:

• Log in. It will patch once you've logged in.

Current Mods:

Functional

• Tekkit Lite - Contains many different mods, mostly technology focused
• Extra Biomes XL - Adds more biomes, and makes biomes much larger
• Twilight Forest - Adds a new dimension, accessible by a magical portal, of a shadowy forest with much to explore
• Thaumcraft 3 - A magic mod, with cool stuff like automated golems, a magical force, and magic gear
• ARS Magica - Another magic mod with magic spells, magic sigils, generated structures, and many more magic items
• Mystcraft - Explore other dimensions by travelling through books
• Simply Horses - Adds tamable, ridable horses and horse accessories
• Portal Gun - Pretty self-explanatory
• Soul Shards - Capture mob souls and then craft your own mob spawners
• Forestry - Automation for harvesting, plus bee keeping
• Extra bees - More bees for Forestry
• Thaumatic Bees - Thaumcraft themed bees for Forestry
• UsefulFood - Adds lots of new food recipes

• StatusEffectHUD - Displays your surrent status effects on your HUD instead of just in your inventory screen

• Painter's Flower Pot- Paintable flower pots that support most mod-added plants!
