About 100 of those kills were in the Lightning, the rest were in a Mag and about 10 in a MAX.
None of which was just a blunt camp of an AMS Sundy or anything like that. It was all defense of
Tawrich Tech Plant. Cruising around and killing shit :)
All I can say is that in PS2 any weapon/tank is deadly if used and specced correctly.
Most important thing is timing and focus.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I feel the L100 H more responsive than the HE.
The bullet velocity is greater and the bullet drop is smaller in the L100 H.

The damage is kinda bigger too in the L100 H.
Even at great distances, it is easier to land a hit on infantry with the L100 H.
The only thing betther in the L100 HE is the indirect damage radius that is 0.5m greater than the L100 H.
I just aim for the head and the bullet lands on target.
When I am too far away, a correction of few millimeters do the job. I work with reference points that are:
    The feet for cqc.

Or the "top line" from the name tag.
The only thing I see a bit better in the L100 HE version is the indirect blast radius and it is not that thing that has a huge impact.
Kinda more happy using L100 H than the L100 HE.
    But this is IMHO.

The forum didn't allowed me to put more than 5 images on my post.

sweet jebus on a pogo stick! I'm doing my vehicles last. Want to cert up my Engy, Heavy, and Inf first. Air...well, that's a different story lol. I need to boost up my comp so I can get some better FR to help with firing accuracy

I have tested both, HE and HEAT and HE seems to have way better splash which is a dealbreaker imo.
Can you kill infantry with both? Hell yeah but for best results, I like HE more.
HEAT would be a better utility because you do go against tanks and harassers a lot so what I do is.... run! I would still put up a fight but would never commit 100% unless I know that I can finish off my target with 1 or 2 hits.
The bullet drop is not my concern at all. I've been tanking since BF1942 so I guess it just comes naturally.

Angry, since you're just starting out, I would recommend certing out at least one vehicle. It will come in handy for sure.

I've put some points into my Party Bus (pinpin dat ride yo son), and I started getting serious about my Harasser. Got the grenade launcher on one (FuryF40 or something) and a bazooka on another (dont remember the name). Love the Harasser. Trying to handle it a little better lol. Once I upgrade my comp a little I should be better at driving/aiming. Going to toss heat vision on that bad boy!

Certing out the Battlebus isn't cheap at all and it does cost a lot of resources to pull one. To upgrade one weapon for a vehicle, you'd need about 3-4k certs + the price of a weapon if you don't use station cash.

i'm with Nraged, HE lightning is my main vehicular manslaughtererer. full nanite repair, combat chassis 3, 40 rounds, and reload 4, i think. i used to play the magrider vpc exclusively until one day i could only afford the Lightning, so i pulled it. it grows on you so fast when you learn the bullet drop and can position yourself just right. eg The Palisade, there's a building right across from the spawn, and i have no idea what the NC were doing, but there was about 3 maxes in there, along with various troops. i didn't even see them until i pulled along side, so i thought i was boned for sure, because your biggest asset is the splash area and being able to sit back and lob death. i think i got 20 something kills with about 8-10 shells. surprisingly no hate /tells.

Try switching to side armor instead of nanites and you will never lose 1v1 vs another Lightning and it will be a lot easier to survive in general.
I think that Lightning is the true glass cannon of the game and you can really rape shit in it as long as you keep moving around.

Here is a pro tip of the day, use the smoke whie repairing if you get caught in a bad spot and start getting pounded by tanks and RPGs.
This trick alone has saved my tank plenty of times.

    I currently use:
HE rounds with thermals, max reload speed, 47 rounds of ammo.
Rival chassis, max smoke and side armor.

oh yeah, i forgot i always have smoke on, just so i can leisurely pop it while the poor bastard's screaming at his lockon. i do prefer nanites, though. i've gotten good enough so i can bugger off after a hit or two. i'm usually at the back anyway, which is where i can act as artillery. while i've got you guys here, which graphics setting was it someone said governs the range of the thermals? i barely use them since NV got the Nerf probe.
