The power of HE Lightning

Nanites or side armor really depends on your play style I guess. I like being an artillery but I also like to get in their face and once you got few guys shooting rockets at you, it all comes down to being able to avoid and and reduce the incoming damage.

When I return, I'm gonna be also spending more time with HEAT rounds and trying to focus on enemy armor a little more.
I did make that switch with my MAG by getting an AT cannon and maxing out Halbert.
After a few runs, I went back to Supernova PC and Halbert on the roof.
This hybrid build has boosted my survivabilty because my gunner raped armor and I rarely miss with Supernova PC when shooting infantry so the combination of both turned out to be really really good.

Nraged take a look at this video. I play a lot of mag and switch between Supernova PC and AV.

Recently I've been playing more AV. I'm trying to get really good with sniping so I don't need the splash on infantry. Also practicing on sniping air. We'll see.

Eska's playstyle is very interesting. Not my style, but I learned a few things from watching the vid.

 

Those air kills looked really cool.
When ur watching a kill compilation video like this, don't forget that its not like this guy rolls out on a field and takes out all the enemy aircraft. It is easier IMO to take out air with AV as oppose to Supernova PC, but as far as everything else goes, this guy did exactly whats expected from a Magrider pilot.
I would advise to watch some of Jam's Magrider videos. Talk about being a sneaky bastard

 

some goddamn masterful tanking, that. you'll notice though, he only really solos air, the rest of the time, he has a gunner. there's a part near the end where he tries to take on two tanks solo, and almost goes down. you NEED gunners, especially with the fpc. i rarely pull mine, but i've had a few really good runs when i had a gunner. this also makes me think about getting the Magburner. it seemed like a waste of certs, and only something used for luls, but if i had it, i could at least zip past [or over Lightnings] MBT's and give my gunner a good shot.

 

If I can't get an NNG gunner I get a pubbie gunner. Saron is great for pubbies too, it's easy to use and does good damage.
