Meeting on Saturday night, 8pm EST (SS Willing) I've been moping about recently, thinking of what's going well and what's not going so well. Right now we have the talent and the fun, we just have hit a standstill in the community and with recruiting. My explanation for the lack of those are because we're very passive in the community. There are a lot of scrims, organized by a group or thrown together by 2 outfits. I've been making friends with other groups and there are enough people asking to set something up on the subreddit that we can safely find a scrim weekly or bi-weekly. We HAVE the talent, we have enough for a small 6v6. We have the time. I think it's time we started making people remember who NNG was. People aren't going to join us if we have nothing to offer and I hate seeing the talent we have waste away while we dick around in live doing little of consequence. Don't get me wrong, going full MLG is the path down the dark side. But, we need to balance it to where we can gain interest for new friends to play with. The community has written us off as dead. We've been playing a lot recently, but I think people believe it's just stragglers. We're still in the top 5 every alert we play, but somehow it's not working. We were a VS staple, always at the top. We can do this, we already have. Let's give them hell. There are big shoes to fill and everyone is looking at us like lost children now that Jaam is gone. But we will show them we are much more than we were before. Much better than we have been and still having fun doing it. Expect there to be a couple changes in my leadership style and getting practices together, I haven't given you my best and for that I am sorry. I have let myself and you guys down. Let me do better. Let me lead NNG to the top of the mountain once more. Over and out, have some inspiration.
It's cool to see the meeting audio for scrubs like me who work stupid hours. I'll see if I can round up some shadowplay footage and get it to you somehow over the next week or so. Any ideas for free video editing software? I would just like to cut sections from the vids so I can send them, pretty basic. Also, is mp4 an acceptable format? I'll try to work on some air footage...if I can cope with the controls long enough lol.
Windows movie maker should be a fine free software for simply cutting down footage. It's got a decent ui and features for basic projects.
