    before its untimely demise 2 years ago the Lady Belle was available for pedestrian flights from Galveston to South Padre and back for $317. Not sure why the odd amount, fuel I guess. I must say it was loud and a very powerful feeling.

    Yes it was on its way toIllinois for an airshow, it crashlanded in a field. Rumor has it that it was caused by the retrofit fuel lines the FAA made them install. The B17 was a fuel leaking flying bus. The fuel dumps on the wings would constantly drizzle fuel out the FAA mad them upgrade them so they would no vent in the air, this supposedly caused a back pressure in 2 of the engines exploding them. Sending it into the field on its belly.
