This is a sales pitch so be warned. So as some of you have seen the brackets for Community Clash have been released you know you guys are slated for Season 1. DA was originally also slated for Season 1 as of 2 weeks ago when Torkz showed me the initial sign-up list. When the brackets were released and DA was absent I was a bit baffled and asked Torkz about it who said we're in for Season 2. This makes absolutely 0 sense to me since FCRW and ZAPS are on the same side of the bracket and are most likely (sorry) going to take the US bracket hands down. I sat on it a day to see if my feelings would change and they haven't really. Most of my guys were disappointed as well, to say the least. I've been a big enough DBag in skype "ps2 competitive peoples" and the community clash skype group to fill my asshole quota for all of next year I think, but it did grant me a little leeway. If I can find any team that would switch to Season 2 with us, Torkz would alter the brackets in that manner. I hate to ask it of you guys, but I've got nothing to lose at this point as most of my guys have been on a month or so break waiting specifically for this, and now its going to be even longer. So here it is, Will NNG take DA's spot in season 2 and grant DA their spot in season 1? I totally expect this to get turned down, and that's ok, but I had to ask for the sake of my outfit. I won't be bitter about it or anything childish like that. I sincerely appreciate any consideration you guys give this at all and if you choose to remain in Season 1 I wish you nothing but the best. The Season is a long ways off so there's a lot of time... i'm still hunting down the other 5's forums :P lol. Appreciate the response though. I don't want to step on your guys opportunities and I really think NNG deserves to be in Season 1 as well. Torkz finally said that they randomly picked all 8 teams which is fine, but being Season 1 and pivotal to creating a competitive PS2 scene I think it'd be a shame not to have us in Season 1 as well. I even told them we'd go 9th seed as NC haha.
Thank you for kind words towards NNG. TBH, ZAPS and FCRW will place to the finals... I think we could beat TRG, and deff SG if they win, but it would be a VERY tough match against ZAPS or FCRW for NNG. I am interested to see your position in season 2 to see who is in it... perhaps that can be NNG's domain. I think people would honestly pay to watch DA and FCRW or ZAPS fight (or all 3 at once!). and that TS invitation is good for at least 30 cycles of earth around the sun so... take yer time
Haha, I initially asked Torkz if we were in no way able to be moved from Season 2 to 1 if we could for sure get NUC into Season 2, and he made no promise. Season 2 will feature a lot of mid-sized outfits I believe, but I can't be positive. I'm sure Season 1 there will be growing pains as all the kinks get worked out which almost makes Season 2 ideal, except for DA i've got guys chomping at the bit for competitive stuff and I really don't think anyone in Season 2 will give us a run for our money even. There's a competitive ps2 people's skype chat group if anyone wants to be a part of that. Notifications should be turned off unless you want to hear beeps every 5 seconds .
