    Ok. Going through the specs;
    Z97 - Overclockable chipset although nowadays there are more than one chipset per generation that allow OC. Just that the Z97 will have most features or something like that.
    It has 3 PCIe slots and has the dual x8 mode required for SLI without a bottle neck. Useful for when two cheaper cards can sometimes outperform and be cheaper than one top of the line card. Think it has triple x8 mode so should even run 3 way SLI (not positive as I am looking at another website specs).
    Comes with 4 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, headers for 2 further USB 3.0 ports in the case.
    Can take RAM OC'd upto 3000 MHz. Typically RAM speed doesn't change performance too much until 2500+ MHz if I recall correctly.
    6 sata-III slots so plenty of SSD space.

    So I guess overall, looks like a good board to OC your CPU and setup a nice SLI or crossfire (if you're into that sort of thing). MSI make solid products so it should be fine.

    I assume you are looking to upgrade your mobo for SLI? In which case, you might save money by finding something which only supports up to dual x8 mode.

    thanks IOlar I just wanted someone else to look at the board and give me a thumbs up. I think my mobo is stating to die and I need a plan.

    Board should be fine. Just looks a little like overkill for single GPU setup. But should handle 2 to 3 SLI fine.

    may go sli and get 2 new cards, I have to find out my issue first. Talked to 2 very in tune tech guys today and I have some hardware test to run tonight. Hey also recommended checking my UPS to see if I have any power drain.
