It works out great and makes the game 20000xs better . Several Outfits I was in in PS1 had structures like similar. I am sure Jaamaw has seen similar structures as well due to him being a PS1 player as well.

Most of the top outfits Hosted Tactics practice to practice Infantry breach tactics, Armor Colum movements and certain protocols. All the outfit lead would say is "I need a spearhead at X".
Everyone knows what to do just with one word.

Once again this is just an idea, this particular model also requires a lot of people. A smaller model can be easily made as some other members have suggested combining air/mech.

Xephon does make something of a point...

Don't get me wrong, you want people specializing, learning their trade. Slowly certing into their role, strengthening their respective vehicles/classes, adapting to the playstyle of their teammates and so on and so forth.

But everybody is gaining resources for Air, Armor, and Infantry at a steady clip. So it would follow that you will want to fully exploit those resources, which means using all 3 equally, at least so none hits 750 and stays there.

Example: You pour all your certs into, whatever, Magriders. And you meet opposition, and die. You go back, roll out more armor. Again and again. Now you're out of tank points. So what do you do? You roll out your zero-cert scythes, heavy assaults, etc. That's viable right now, but say a year after release, it's going to be a noticeable disadvantage.

Add to that, multi-crewed vehicles are certed entirely by the pilot. Your tank certs are meaningless if you're gunning for a mag that someone else in the squad spawned. Instead, you could have a dedicated 12-man squad: Six cert into Mags. Four more cert into libs. You can now roll either a fully manned land squad, or air squad, as circumstances demand. And you've still got 2 more guys who haven't certed a thing.

God, I spent way too much time typing that.

My point is, we should work flexibility into our roles.

I wanted to bump this so everyone can see and be reminder of the issues we've faced in the past and how similar they are now.
