Reserved/VIP Slots

I am suggesting that possible we add a plugin, or some of our current plugins may support, reserved slots. Due to the fact that the server is highly populated, I think it would be very nice, to have some reserved slots. In which that players that donate are able to join in the slots that are unavailable to standard players. This would also be a great reward for people who donate.

Positive:
More players will donate.

Negative:
You will have to expand the slots in the servers, to add for the extra reserved slots.

Yes, but some discussion is needed.

I believe the way it works now is that someone with a reserved slot will get the player in the server who joined last, kicked.

Not sure if I'm into treating our customers that way. But let's discuss...

 

Yea, if that is true, and it does kick the last player, then I don't think we should add it. I will also do some research on it!

 

I like the way we have the server running now. We only have to wait five or ten minutes when we are put in queue and the admins can kick those who have been afk the entire round to speed up the rate that people can join in.

 

I say yes but only if it does not kick the last player. It should kick person with 0 score.

 

Nope Wont Work Raiden. 2 people join. They have just spawned.. The last Player Won't Get kicked but the first joining player will.

 

Mayve if we could keep it at 48 players but have like 6 more slots only open to NNG and donating members?

 

Idle kick doesn't turn on until the server reaches 18 players. So once it does reach 18 players, anyone who's been afk for 600 seconds, get's the boot. This helps us seed the server up, allowing us to be AFK when no one is in it.

The additional servers slots, for reserved members only, isn't a bad idea, but let's say we have a full server of 48. Then an additional 6 slots for donating members. They all join, now we have a 54 man server, which doesn't fit any of Battlelog's filtering criteria and makes our server difficult to find.

It seems to be a weird area to sort out. The wait is typically only 2-5 minutes and we always have the ability to check the scoreboard for high pingers, or afk'ers to make room for ourselves

 

the idle kick really has not been working well... ill get on and we have 47 players.. get put in que and look at rcon.. see 5 guys 0 score and ingame for 8 minutes or more.. 600 seconds is too high // thats 10 minutes and a higher chance to lose a decent player due to waiting
300 is an honest assessment // 5 minutes.. any longer and your wasting space for active players

 

I'm with Virus on this one. 5 mins gives you enough time to pee and to grab a drink. That should be enough seeing as how everyone has a mini fridge and a poop bucket right next to em.
