Sith you are nothing without my Miley Cyrex. Actually installed it roday on my laptop to see if it would run given im away from my desktop and it ran damn well on integrated graphics and an i5. Screen was tiny though lol, had to play at 4:3 to see shit. Thankfully i brought my old mx518 mouse with me this week cause trackpad CS would be cancer

Maybe if she didn't stick her tongue out so much I would respect her more. I'm at 92 wins and Master Guardian 2, still haven't de-ranked and have no idea why.

I'm really proud that I ranked back up to Master Guardian last night in a solo queue. I totally carried my team to a 16-14 victory on Mirage. Not just top fragging, but I think my communication definitely made the difference.

The other team got 8 rounds on their T side. Then we made a comeback. Teamwork ftw.

Damn Greg. Back when you started, we were both noobs with no idea how to shoot. To think you've even gone this far shows how much dedication you put into a game.

That's crazy. Sometimes I jump ship or play a little too casually.

    Huge props.

    Thanks!

I did get pretty obsessed with this game. What I really like about CS is with all the effort I put in, I see direct results. There is such a high skill ceiling and so many aspects to it that there is always something you can improve at. I never really felt that way with a shooter before.

Plus there is way more to CS than competitive... In some custom game modes CS can be a single player game where your opponent is the map, and yourself. I'm way more obsessed with KZ and Surf than I am with Matchmaking now. Competitive has kind of taken a back seat to stuff like this. (but this does help my competitive skills actually)

Yeah pretty much nailed CS on the head with why it has aged so well with practically no major overhauls. CS:GO improved on previous versions by opening up the competitive scene to Day 1 customers while still allowing the community to drive itself through mapmaking/mods/etc.

You can sit practice it on a consistent basis like it is a physical sport bc it really takes it at times but you can also have laidback no consequences fun.

This is the exact reason why I play TF2 for that same reason. It's really like CS, even though their competitive scene is less "intense" and is younger than that of CS. I can play a tryhard team carrying game (yay, Spy/Medic), but at the same time I can be goofy with some of the game mods people have made which includes Pyro Dodgeball and Surfing.

I might get back into CS again, but I have to figure out why I'm having major stuttering issues with all my source games, including TF2. I miss playing that Warcraft mod.. hehe.

Man, I have surfed in TF2, but what's the difference between the surfing mechanics there?
