What OS for a new gaming rig, Win7 or Win8?

    Yesterday, April 2, I got a brand new computer for my birthday. I got an i5-3570k 3.4GHz (3.9GHz turbo), EVGA 680GTX FTW, 16 GB Corsair Dominatior RAM, a new cooler master tower, a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013, a Razer Naga Epic, an Asus P8Z68 mobo, a 250GB SSD, and 2 1TB HDDs. But my major question to you guys, because I am getting multiple different answers...

    Windows 7 or Windows 8?

    Some people are saying Win8 is the way to go and they've never looked back, others are saying Win7 is better than 8 and that 8 is like "win7's Vista."

    but which do I buy!!?!?!!?!

    Win 7. Unless you plan on gaming from a tablet, Win 8 is not sufficient at all.

    Don't even look at Win 8, it's pure junk.

    I'd say go windows 7. It's cheaper and easier to use. Windows 8 was built with the tablet in mind and is not really meant for computers.

    Unless you desperately want to use an os with a ui designed for phones on your pc, use 7.
