What do I need SC for now?
The new player made items are cool but I have not seen anything worth the price. I have enough dark camo and I have more guns then I need.
I would ask everyone to be thankful for SOE not making the game pay to win.
SOE still gets my monthly payment and I am happy to pay so little for such a wonderful game.
At this point in the game the only thing that comes to mind that I would want to pay money for is Certs, but pay to win is poison to any game.
There are no new toys so at this time I do not need SC and SOE is losing my money because of that (not that I have any money to spend anyways).
My feeling is that they are 100% into OMFG and had to poop out some kind of deal for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
SOE did just come out with the new GameStop SC card for that mammoth pistol, so perhaps that is the plan to bring in some money.
Also, dont forget Hats....coughFailcough...Didnt they say we would get hats for Christmas?
I just hope everything works out and PS2 stays fun to play for years to come.

SOE already said that they will not be adding any new items until the game starts to work the way it should.

I would also recommend for people to get their sub going because when Hossin comes out, you will be sitting in queue, considering that there will be slots on the server.

So maybe it was like cutting the sandbags off the hot air balloon before it crashed. Maybe SOE cut jobs and slowed development to minimize the finical burden due to slow profits.
I am happy to have a game to play and that it will never be pay to win.
Was it safer to stall the game than gamble by pouring more resources into the game? I think so, because of the launches of COD and BF4 and the new Xbox and PS4. SOE got all the money they could when PS2 was the hot new thing, then they lay low while the front runner fans move onto the next hot new thing, then when those fires die out, they say "Hey look bitches, Im hot and sexy again, come back to momma"...or something in less technical words.

I do like how they learned a lot from PS1. They are avoiding the "i couldn't do anything about that " type of deaths.
I see they are really focusing on making the game playable, and adding stuff later. I get it, I like it, but they are walking a thin line between getting the game working right and keeping sustained interest w/ out adding new goodies. I want Hossin before next summer... but that's just me...
