The Division - Open Beta

So I should just about have it downloaded for the beta. I can only download 5-6gb a day.

 

My daily limit is 8gb but after that I get throttled to 1/4 speed. That translates to about 5-6gb per day without throttling.

There is no competition for internet in the area I am in now. They're either way more expensive, not available in my region or worse value.

 

Does this mean that you can play it on your phone?

My touch screen is too borked up to aim with.

 

If you need a new phone huawei recently released the honor 5x in the US at 199 USD unlocked. It got great reviews for best bang for your buck at the price point. And I think it had support for SD cards up to 64 or 128gb.

I was gonna get one but EU released with a 33% minimum price hike for me.

Back on topic, remember when they had plans for a tablet app to allow people to squad up and run a drone on missions? Is that still coming or has it been dropped?

 

From what I've heard, the drone/app was dropped.

 

I assumed that it might be too difficult to implement without lag and relatively resource light to run on mobile hardware.
I wouldn't have used it myself but it seemed like one of the best mobile game application I had heard of.
I'm sure we'll have it some day. But probably once 4G LTE is the standard across all mobile devices cheap and expensive.
As well as good coverage. At least mobiles are beginning to have more ram and cores even on the low-mid price range so they are gradually getting better. Not sure about how optimized mobile app development is going however.

Ubisoft have denied the claims. People have said that the PC version looks good so it's not the worst thing to happen. But it could mean that potential was left wasted in order to reduce the final product quality gap between consoles and PC.
