We Aimbot?

Looking at this thread makes me depressed at how good I'm not.

 

So what typically happens if someone reports you for hacking in PS2? Does SOE investigate it? Do you ever have to worry about getting falsely banned?

 

I've literally had to start recording most of my play sessions as an insurance policy on my account and reputation in this game.

I was reading about how this one dude got banned and then unbanned because he went on a killing spree using an underslung grenade launcher an ammo pack. Because the killspam/killscreen doesn't show if you died to an USGL, no one knew what was happening, just that they were dying instantly to a carbine. Naturally, they all just mass reported him. He was temporarily banned shortly after. The dude submitted a ticket asking what had happened. Luckily, he just so happened to be recording the entire incident using the in-game recorder (apparently, he was in a pretty sweet spot, since he managed to get over 91 kills). Had he not recorded his footage, he would have been permabanned from the game.

Most of the time I don't respond to /tells, but there have been times where I've had to go as far as stop what I was doing in game, go into my recordings, find the clip of them dying, clip the segment of the video, compress it, upload the video to YouTube...all just to prove them wrong and to get them to stop spreading bullshit about me.

It's pretty ridiculous how many people send me hackusations on a daily basis. It's flattering at times, but it gets kinda stupid and I kind of hate it, especially when /yell fills with talk about whether or not the kills I make on them are legitimate. Or when you're mass reported. Or when you're contacted by a GM.

I wish people would just shut the fuck up and play the game.
